4 days of being back on our prayer walking pilgrimage! (The Whole Holy 3 times 3 and a half a loop)
Dear Family of Love and Pilgrims on our Journey!
We have been back on our prayer walking pilgrimage for 4 days in a row and if I do the miles it is about 10 in total. Yes 10! I'm still amazed at the strength and stamina God has given me to do this. God gives us amazing strength and stamina when we need it the most. I'm finding that I will need to balance this out but so far so good. No hair loss today for which I'm truly grateful. I hope everyone remembered that today is Self-Care Saturday and that you managed to take good care of yourselves and practice self care. Body, mind, and Spirit balance is necessary at all times for we human beings not human doings. Now take a deep breath and close your eyes and quiet the mind and relax. When you are ready gradually begin to open your eyes. Now let us be at prayer.
God we thank you for the gift of weekends for the refreshing, renewing, and relaxing of our bodies, minds, and spirits.
We thank you for the tasks that we needed to do today and pray for energy to complete the tasks that we could not complete.
We pray for our family members who are traveling and may they be safe when they drive, fly, take the train, or ride the bus.
We pray for all caregivers who do not have opportunity to rest on the weekends. We pray that they may have time for themselves and receive respite.
We pray for all graduate who graduated today and for their safety as they celebrate the beginning of a new adventure in life.
We pray for all of our family members nearby and far away that they may feel your love and presence. We remember especially our family members who are homeless, hungry, afraid, alone, and feel as though they live as outcasts.
We pray for all of our religious communities and leaders. May we find peaceful and loving coexistence with them and that we may respect each other as brothers and sisters of humankind.
We pray for all those who work in hospitals and care facilities on the weekend. We pray especially for mortuary and hospice workers.
We pray and give thanks for all the men in our lives who make amd madeour lives rich and beautiful. We pray for all men who were and are positive role models and mentors in our family member's lives.
We pray and give thanks for those who have been ordained as priests and deacons in Your church today.
We continue to pray for those discerning vocations to holy orders and new life paths.
We pray for the unemployed, under-employed and all of our family members who are seeking employment.
We pray for all political hot spots and our family members who live in them. May there be productive dialogues leading to a peaceful resolution to these situations that force people to become refugees and lose their homes and livelihoods.
We pray for rain in the drought parched areas of our country and in your world.
We pray for ourselves and on behalf of others remembering especially____________________
We remember those who have died and those who continue to mourn.
We celebrate this day remembering especially_________________________
We give thanks to you O God for________________________________
We lift up these our prayers and thanksgivings to you O God in the most holy name of your Son Jesus. Amen.
Take time to reflect upon this week by looking at tonight's photos. Take time for silence and rest.
