Every moment we live, move, and be we have a new life!
Dear Family of Love and Fellow Pilgrims on our Life's Journey
Today we had an another amazing prayer walk and it made me feel amazingly good. Tonight's walk made me realize that every moment we live, move, and be, we have a new life. Our past, present, and future are in the next time we inhale and exhale. So you see the future isn't very far away, it is in our next breath. What did you do today on #YouMatterMonday? Are you taking care of yourselves? Did you get the Monday overwhelm? Please take stock and see where you fall. Daily inventory as part of one's life and even our spiritual ones are vital. Now, I encourage and invite you to do just that. Take time for silent reflection and give yourself permission to reflect, rest, relax, refresh and renew for 10 minutes. If you don't have time for 10 minutes or are uncomfortable, start off with two and build up gradually. Put the timer on and close your eyes. When the timer finishes, slowly open your eyes. How do you feel? What things or thoughts came to mind and are you ready to lay down your worries and place them in the Worry/Sabbath Rest box for the night?
Let us pray as we reflect upon our life today:
God we thank you for awakening our bodies, minds, and spirits today. We pray that we may always be grateful when we first open our eyes in the morning.
God grant us times to reflect up on our lives daily and make amends if we have hurt anyone. We give thanks to you God the gifts of repentance and forgiveness. Help us never to take these gifts for granted.
God we give thanks for all of our family members who we may not see very often.
We pray for the peoples who are our family members in Iraq, Nigeria, Afghanistan, Kenya, Syria, The Ukraine, South Sudan, Darfur, and all other places where there are warring factions, unjust laws, and human rights violations. We pray for peace in this world and may we become peace makers, light shiners, hope bringers, loving family members to all of your precious children O, God.
We pray for all the homeless, hungry and all the least of these O God. We pray especially for the gift of seeing Buena Vista Vince on a bus bench on Broadway this evening may he be safe from harm where ever he and all your precious family members take shelter.
We pray for all of us who continue to mourn losses of loved ones and pets and who face anniversaries of our loved one's passing or leaving.
