I could have prayer walked all night! Yes! We did the whole 3 mile prayer pilgrimage!
Dear Family of Love and Pilgrims on Our Journey!
I could have prayer walked all night! Yes, you guessed it! I walked the Whole Holy 3 miles tonight and wasn't any worse for wear. God is Good. I prayed along the way even though I didn't receive any prayer requests from you. Pleas start sending them in again. I love prayer walking, praying in place, and prayer resting! God has given us this ministry of a prayer pilgrimage. Let us honor God and pray for ourselves and those of others.
Prayer works miracles and makes this broken world a better place in which to live, move, and be. We need to be at prayer now more than ever! Let's begin anew regardless of whether or not I physically prayer walk to take time to pray at the time of the evening breeze as is our custom.
Tonight I ask us to be at prayer for all those who laying heavy on our hearts and minds. Please name them aloud or in the silent place in your heart where prayers and love reside.
We pray for all of our family members who are mentally ill and for those who are caregivers to them. We pray for all those who work in the alcohol , drug, and mental health services.
We pray for the troubled places in God's World. Help us to know that this planet belongs to God and not us for we have been given an awesome responsibility to care for and conserve God's Cathedral of Life.
We pray for rain and seasonable weather and for all the drought parched places in our country and around the world.
We pray for all persons living with cancer, chronic and autoimmune diseases. We pray for proper treatments that will help make their pain and illnesses more manageable.
We pray for all caregivers that they may be honored and respected.
We pray for all of our family members who feel marginalized and alone. We pray that we may step up and bring them in to the wider circle of love and compassion and made to feel welcome.
We pray this night for all of the victims of violence, abuse, human trafficking, that they may be made to feel whole again.
We pray for and end to any kind of inequality and injustice that prevents us from being truly one as You and Jesus are one. Help us to remember in your world all means all and not some.
We pray for all those who are discerning vocations, new life paths and seeking new and immediate employment.
We pray for all schools and that they may be kept safe from harm and be sanctuaries of learning and growth.
We pray for all public safety personnel remembering our police, fire, and emergency rescue teams. We pray for safety on the job.
We pray for all who work while we sleep and for their safety.
We pray for safe working conditions and for all who drive trucks, trains, buses and any form of transport. We pray for alertness and safety.
God we lift up these and all of our prayers, thanksgivings, celebrations, and remembrances to you and in the name of your son Jesus. Amen.
