Water is our most precious resource ! We need it to live, We need it for our bodies, minds, and spirits

Dear Family of Love!

I hope everyone had a Wonderful and Wonder-filled Wednesday! Today has been one of those days when I have been having problems with low blood pressure and being dehydrated. I had to do Cancer Rehab seated. Not fun but one can't take any chances with low blood pressure. I am convinced now more than ever that I have been dehydrated and so I'm endeavoring to fill my body's bottle up with water. So far the BP is getting into proper range. I thank God for this! As a person who lives in California where there is severe drought we are realizing that water is our most precious resource. We need it to live, Plants and animals need it to grow and live, and we need it for our bodies, minds, and spirits too. God must have thought water was an important part in God's plan for Creation  and that's why it was made on the Third Day before we arrived on the scene. So tonight let us think of the many ways in which we  use water and also how we can become good at conserving water. After we meditate upon water that helps us live, let us turn to the Water of Life that is like an artesian well that will never run dry and when we drink from it we will never be thirsty.

Think of these images of ripples in the pond and in the water as we meditate.

How do these images speak to you?
Can you see the inter-connectedness of the ripples and waves?
What do these things remind you of?
Are we interconnected?
Now sit back and listen to this song by John Michael Talbot- Living Water  and these  pieces from John Rutter For The Beauty of the Earth and All Things Bright and Beautiful ,

To prepare for our prayers listen to this before we pray All Good Gifts -Godspell

Let us pray and give thanks for God's gift of water and the Water of Life that Courses through our veins.

God we pray this night for refreshing rain that will take us out of the severe drought that our world is in.

God we pray that we may never take water for granted and that we may use this precious resource wisely.

God we pray for all who are thirsty, homeless, hungry, and ill-clad.

God we pray for all  who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

God we pray for  all who are thirsty and hungering to know you O God . We pray that they may find you a loving and merciful God.

God we pray for all who are ill and chronically ill that they may drink of the healing waters that you are providing for them,

God we give thanks for uniting all of your children who have been baptized with the Living Water of Life into your family.

God we pray that we may be good stewards and conservationists of the air, the waters, the soils, and all the natural resources you created so that we and your creation may live.

God we pray this night that our lives may be enlivened by your spirit and the Waters of Life that courses through our veins.

God we pray for all of our family members who do not have access to clean water.

God we pray for those who are grieving and shedding tears of mourning that they may receive from you and us loving comfort.

God we pray for all who are thirsting for knowledge where educational opportunities are few that they may find power just as Malala did within the pages of books and education.

God we pray for all those who have died this day that their bodies were gently cleansed and lovingly prepared for their final journey to your heavenly kingdom.

God we pray for __________________

God we celebrate and give thanks for__________________

We lift these our prayers and thanksgivings in the name of Jesus your Son the Water and Bread of Life. Amen.
