What to say about today? Many Moments of Transfiguration.
Dear Family of Love,
What to say about today? What to say? First thing it has been very hot here in Midway Utah with temps in the 90's! This seems fitting for the first day of Summer. My day started off with having an outdoor Eucharist at the gazebo that was phenomenally beautiful followed by a q and a session with Canon Andrew White. Lot's to chew on there. Today we also had the privilege of having the Rev. Becca Stevens talk about her ministry Thistle Farms. This afternoon I facilitated another prayer walking workshop in 90 degree heat! This afternoon we all headed over to Homestead for a Cowboy dinner and then we came back for our traditional healing service.Speaking of the healing service. I lifted up all of you who have asked for prayers and read this blog. God has been good all the time while we have been here. I almost feel like it has been a bit like Jesus on the Mount of the Transfiguration. I'm not ready to come down from the mountain just. yet but my body is. Have you ever had this kind of feeling when you know it's time to go home but you don't want to? Why does this happen? Let us meditate upon this tonight. Please take your time. Rest, relax, refresh, and renew your bodies, minds, and spirits! Give yourself over to rest and if you fall asleep while reading this that is okay too. Let's listen to this piece of music that was featured at Triennial. The Grail Prayer .
God as we come to you in the quiet of our hearts, help us to be transfigured more and more in to your likeness and show love to our family members who do not feel lovable.
God as we come to you in the quiet we remember those who are ill in body, mind, and spirit. Heal them and give them comfort.
God as we come to you in the quiet. we pray for peace in the world and especially the Middle East the home of the three Abrahamic faiths. We pray for Canon Andrew White and his work.
God as we come to you in the quiet, we pray for an end to all forms of violence.
God as we come to you in the quiet, that we may find rest and peace as we sleep.
God as we come to you in the quiet may we feel your loving presence and still small voice calling us to take risks, love, and boldly go where you'd have us be.
God as we come to you in the quiet may we think about the least of these our family members.
God as we come to you in the quiet may we remember those who have died and those who are dying.
God as we come to you in the quiet may we pray and give thanks for__________________
God as we come to you in the quiet we lift up our prayers and thanksgivings in the name of Jesus. Amen.
++++
Good Night Dear Family! I love you! May you feel God's gentle arms around you as you sleep. I give God thanks for you always!
With Love,
Sara
