Life as pilgrimage! God guides us on Our Life and faith's Journey's pathway that God has set before us.
Dear Family of Love and Pilgrims on Our Journey,
Happy Being Thoughtful and Thankful Thursday, We have a great deal to be thankful for and it starts with our waking up and greeting the day. Today we have seen the theme of pilgrimage play out in Washington D.C. with Pope Francis' and his speech to the Congress and the American people and the tragedy of the pilgrims who lost their lives or were injured in a stampede on the Hadj at Mecca. Our family members make pilgrimage all the time . There are world pilgrimage sites that lead us go and see and pray at these sites. Pilgrimage can send us to places we never knew existed even in our own town. I'd like to entertain an idea that life is pilgrimage and that when we dial in and go deeper with God, God will design the path and choreography we need to get there or make it the journey of a life time. I choose to think we are on pilgrimage for life because we find ourselves traveling on holy ground and meeting holy people. Tonight I went back to prayer walking and it felt good to be on pilgrimage and be connected with the holy. The sunset and the sky reminded me of God's beautiful artwork that adorned our holy road. I give thanks for this time of pilgrimage even though it was very warm. How do you see your life? Is it on pilgrimage or are you just plodding through life without purpose? Take time to ponder these questions after you do the Mindfulness 5 Plus and Breathing exercises:
Tonight here is our breathing exercises format; Do 3 sets of the 4 below.

Let us be at prayer and continue our conversation with God:
God we thank you for this day and pray that in our prayers said silently and aloud we may go deeper into our lives and conversation with you. Help us to learn to be in right relationship with you so that we may be in right relationship with our family members. We pray that our relationships with you, our family members, and ourselves my be rooted in love, kindness, joy, justice, inclusion, peace, and unity.
Gracious and loving God we pray for a peaceful rest this night and that we may awaken refreshed and renewed in the morning
We pray for the healing of your broken and fragile world. We pray for an end to violence and terror of any kind.
We pray for all of our vulnerable family members remembering those who have been abused and persecuted.
We pray for all who are ill and in need of healing of bodies minds, and spirits.
We pray that we may continue to knit a circle of love, justice, mercy and peace around each of us this night and that we may lovingly encircle our family members as God encircles us with God's love.
We pray for seasonable weather and that God's Cathedral of life may receive much needed rain in all the drought parched areas of the world and especially in California.
We pray for all who protect us from harm and all emergency rescue personnel.
We take these moments to pray and give thanks and lift up these our prayers in the most Holy Name of Jesus. Amen.
