Let us calm down and let God instill in our hearts : Compassion, Acceptance, Love and Mercy!
Good Evening Family of Love!
I hope everyone is well and had the opportunity to take care on Take Care Tuesday. It seems calmer in the cyber world but then again it may just be a lull. Calm is good and we need it now more than ever. Yesterday we were like emotional Whirling Dervishes who were still in shock and certainly not on our best behavior. This season we always manage to find ourselves stressed out with tension and often times not so pretty behavior. It never fails that we get ratcheted up in not so Christlike ways this time of year. We must endeavor to be family like and that involves the most important work we will ever do. So what does that kind of work look like? It looks a lot like the words contained in the word CALM: Christ Always Loves Me/Mankind/Humankind/Family Members and Compassion,Acceptance, Love, Mercy. Let us remember to take lots of deep breaths and think of this phrase from "Silent Night", "All is calm!" that is our tension relieving key word for the season and beyond. Tonight let us calm down and listen to God by Centering and Listening Mindfully.
We can do this one of two ways by just sitting in the presence of God with music or in the quiet of our inner beings. The choice is yours. You may select a time limit that is comfortable for your bodies, minds, and spirits. Let's start tonight again with a 5 minute sit and just be and add time for the next few weeks.
Kyrie for the Magdalene
God help us to be calm and instill our hearts and heart homes with compassion, acceptance, love and mercy and may we have the necessary Love Energy to accomplish the many things you are calling us to do.
God help us to calm down and be more mindful as we go through all the hustle and bustle of this season and beyond.
God help us to be more reverent in our devotion and worship to you at church, home, out and about and in your Cathedral of Life.
God help us to take time to care for ourselves and others, being mindful of our needs and our family members.
God help us to be attentive to all of our family members who are ill. Help us to be co-healers with you and that they may know that they are loved and cared for. May we be mindful of all of their struggles in body, mind, and spirit.
God give us courage to examine all the facts in the daily news cycle and speak truth to power.
God give us the mind of your Son Jesus Christ that we may model our lives after Him.
God give us the courage to lovingly respond and care for your children who are the least of these.
God make us to be the peacemakers that you need us to be to help love, heal, and care for your world and may we lovingly respond to the needs of all of our family members who are victims of war, violence, terror, and human trafficking.
God give us an awareness of those things that cause us to be a divided world and may we learn what it means to be truly your family and love one another.
God we pray for all faith leaders who need the courage to learn how to be united in love, peace, and harmony and accept belief systems that may differ from their own.
God we pray for all who are seeking employment and discerning new life paths.
God we offer our prayers and thanksgivings to you for ourselves and on behalf of those who have asked us to pray and those who haven't the courage to ask for prayers.
God we lift up these our prayers, thanksgivings, celebrations, and remembrances in the Name of your Son Jesus our redeemer, healer, reconciler, brother and friend. Amen.
