Dear Family of Love,
Happy 3rd Sunday of Advent ! It is Gaudete or Joy Sunday! This is a perfect day to get our #Glow on. How do we glow? We glow by our smiles and souls illuminated towards others and letting God's light shine through us. Today we said Canticle 15 -The Magnificat and I don't know about you but this gives us cause for pause and yes it helps us to #Glow with God's purpose for our lives!
Let us begin our meditation with the Magnificat before we begin our vigil and prayer time:
And Mary said,
"My soul magnifies the Lord,
and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has looked with favor on the lowliness of his servant.
Surely, from now on all generations will call me blessed;
for the Mighty One has done great things for me,
and holy is his name.
His mercy is for those who fear him
from generation to generation.
He has shown strength with his arm;
he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts.
He has brought down the powerful from their thrones,
and lifted up the lowly;
he has filled the hungry with good things,
and sent the rich away empty.
He has helped his servant Israel,
in remembrance of his mercy,
according to the promise he made to our ancestors,
to Abraham and to his descendants forever."
Let us light 3 candles of Hope,Peace, and Joy! Let us pray that we may catch the Spirit's glow and shine brightly to our family members. May our hearts Glow with God's love, joy, and peace.

Or you may use these prayers instead!
God help us to be the light to others and especially our family members who are in dark places at the moment. Help us to remember to pray for the least of these and be lights to them as they are to us.
God give us courage to shine the light of justice to a world that is in need of equality, acceptance, universal human rights and liberty.
God help us to be able to shine lights in areas of the world that are plagued by injustice, oppression, terror, and war.
God help us to be sources of comfort to those who are ill or in grief.
God we pray for those whom we name now and that our hearts may be illumined to pray for the urgent concerns you have laid upon our hearts.
God we give thanks to you for bringing Jesus the light of the world to us and all people.
Let us pray these words to each other:
The light of Christ In me recognizes the light of Christ in you.
Prayers with light in them. From the BCP
O Gracious Light Phos hilaron
O gracious Light,
pure brightness of the everliving Father in heaven,
O Jesus Christ, holy and blessed!
Now as we come to the setting of the sun,
and our eyes behold the vesper light,
we sing your praises, O God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
You are worthy at all times to be praised by happy voices,
O Son of God, O Giver of life,
and to be glorified through all the worlds.
The Song of Simeon Nunc dimittis
Luke 2:29-32
Lord, you now have set your servant free *
to go in peace as you have promised;
For these eyes of mine have seen the Savior, *
whom you have prepared for all the world to see:
A Light to enlighten the nations, *
and the glory of your people Israel.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: *
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever. Amen.
Be our light in the darkness, O Lord, and in your great mercy
defend us from all perils and dangers of this night; for the
love of your only Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen
God, we pray that we may carry your light into the world and serve you with love and a lightness of being. May we shine brightly to others so that they may see you in us, through us, and around us.
We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
