An Independence Eve Vigil for our Nation.

Good Evening Beloved Community!




Happy Wisdom Wednesday! Today has been on busy day at the Faith Factory! I can't believe that I have officiated at two services today! I'm humbled that I have the privilege to do this work for God's people. Tonight we ponder the word liberty on this the eve of Independence Day. When we are called by God to do something do we find our lives being given more liberty or less? Please journal this question in Journaling your Journey. Here is the Collect for Peace in Morning Prayer Rite I that was said this afternoon. Let us pause before we ponder the word liberty and pray this prayer.




A Collect for Peace

O God, who art the author of peace and lover of concord, in knowledge of whom standeth our eternal life, whose service is perfect freedom: Defend us, thy humble servants, in all assaults of our enemies; that we, surely trusting in thy defense, may not fear the power of any adversaries; through the might of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Help us to be woke enough not to think of ourselves being the comforted, help us be the comforters and wounded healers.

Help not to be know it alls and be woke to understand what is plaguing our inner beings, neighbors, neighborhoods, the least of these, our family members.

God wake us up to be Woke to your agape love so that we may love everything that you have made. Wake us to be Woke to Radical Love, Hospitality, and inclusion.

Help us to know that being truly woke means being open to radical and random acts of kindness and giving. Where the giver is given and receives much by acts of giving.

Help us to be woke enough to forgive and then find ourselves being actually forgiven

Being Subject to Authorities

God, who has made us one nation out of many peoples, amid our diversities of race and tradition, unite us in a common love of freedom and in a high ambition for our national life.


Continue in us the pioneering spirit which led our fathers across the estranging sea and up held them in the wilderness.

Most holy God, the source of all good desires, all right

judgements, and all just works: Give to us, your servants, that

peace which the world cannot give, so that our minds may be
