Walking With God on Our Journey tonight! There's Power in God's Presence!

Dear Family of Love and Pilgrims on our Journey!

As I was walking with God on Our Journey tonight! I felt this pervading sense of calm and know that was God walking with me/us. There is an awesome feeling knowing that God walks with us every nano-second of the day and holds us in His arms while we work, rest, sleep, and all other places in between. There's power in God's presence and we all should be tuning in to that all the time. When we do we will find a God who is loving, merciful, and is in our corner no matter what. Sometimes we may lose sight that God is all in all and we should be soaking up God like a sponge or Thomas's English Muffin where every nook and cranny is filled. And that's what God showed me/us on our pilgrim journey tonight, and wanted me to write about in this little bit of  writing before we pray.

Let us be at prayer

Loving and Merciful God we lay our burdens down and take time to rest and have holy conversation with you.

We pray that we won't be asking just for ourselves alone but on behalf of others who need a boost and who are afraid to be in a loving conversation with you.

We pray for all those who are living in wildfire areas this day and for safety of all animals, emergency responders, hot shot crews, and all our family members who reside near or on Wild Fire land.

We pray for all of our family members who have been affected by all the dangerous weather throughout the country. We pray for all the agencies coming to their need.

We pray for a sense of calmness when we begin to feel anxious about anything. We lift up all those who have any kind of mental or memory related illness. For research into the root causes of these illnesses and especially for family and friends who care for them.

We pray for courage to be whom God has made us to be and that we may live authentically without fear, shame, or guilt.

We pray for the Missing Girls in Nigeria and that they may be found safe and released from harm. We pray for an end to human trafficking of any kind.

We pray for all places of political unrest and for the safety of all our family members throughout the world that the leaders of the nations may remember "To do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with God and let Justice Roll Down"

We pray for all those who are struggling to make ends meet and the unemployed who are seeking well paying jobs that are permanent.

We pray for all those who are ill and infirm and who are lonely in care facilities. We pray for all those who have Cancer, Alzheimer's disease, Hidradenitis Suppurativa, and all orphan, chronic, and autoimmune diseases. We pray for better medications and treatments for the relief of pain.

We pray for all who travel and we pray for all those who drive in town and we pray for all young and elderly drivers. We pray that we all may know when it is time to have the conversation about taking car keys away from our family members.

God we pray especially for______________________
We give thanks to you O God for___________________
We  Celebrate this day for________________
We remember those who now reside in the Thin Places remembering especially _____________And their loved ones who mourn their loss.

We lift up these our prayers this night to you O God of Love and mercy. Amen.

Walking around the big block and relaxing the mind, body, and spirit !

Happy Take Care Tuesday Dear Family of Love,

Tonight we didn't have very many prayer requests so I decided since our weather was very warm I would take what I call a walk of relaxation. These walks do not place our minds on taxing things but on getting in touch with God's Cathedral of life and having a bit of fun with a mixed tempo walk. I used the album from the movie "Sideways". I live where quite a few of the location shots were taken. My late partner Steve and I knew them by heart. Sometimes having a bit of whimsy in one's life is all that is needed to refresh the body, mind, and spirit and make our prayer time more worthwhile. Please keep that in mind. We need to have balance and not be all serious and rigid. We need to show God's light to the world by being joyful, loving, compassionate, alive, with our spirits enlivened each and every day to serve God in His Kingdom. Tonight please enjoy a few of the pictures and take time to decompress before we pray.

Good Evening God, We give thanks for the warm weather today and all that you brought into it. We offer our prayers, thanksgivings, celebrations, and remembrances to you with hands and hearts uplifted.

Help us to be able to take time to take care and relax and enjoy your Cathedral of Life and feel our spirits enlivened with joy.

We pray for all of our family members  who have been affected by the dangerous tornadoes and weather patterns.

We pray for rain in the draught parched areas of the country and world wide.

We remember this day any of prayer request spoken and those that our family members were afraid to offer.

We pray this night for all those who are suffering, experiencing grief, and all of your Children who are the least of these.

We pray that we may love you more fully, so that we may love ourselves and our neighbors who are our family members.

We pray that we may be loving to our enemies, those who bully, and all those who we can't find ourselves able to love.

We pray for an end to all "ism's"  and  "obias" that separate us from you and each other  as members of the Family of God.

We pray this night for all caregivers and those receiving care who find it hard to depend on others for care.

We offer ourselves to you this night and that we may be guided on our path of life and that we may walk with you on the journey you have set before us.

A  Prayer by St. Catherine of Siena (Her feast day is today)

Prayer to the Holy Ghost

Holy Spirit, come into my heart; draw it to Thee by Thy power, O my God, and grant me charity with filial fear. Preserve me, O ineffable Love, from every evil thought; warm me, inflame me with Thy dear love, and every pain will seem light to me. My Father, my sweet Lord, help me in all my actions. Jesus, love, Jesus, love. Amen.

Praying in place and a reminder that we all need to be mindful

Dear Family of Love and Pilgrims on Our Journey,

Tonight we prayed in place because I had an important conference call tonight at  7:00 p.m. PDT and that conflicted with our usual prayer walking. Tonight I ask that we all begin knitting a tight prayer circle around all areas of our country that are plagued by sever weather. Let us be at prayer.

God we pray for all those who are in the paths of severe weather throughout our country and around the world. We pray for our family members who are in danger and especially those who have lost their lives, property, and livelihoods.

We pray for sound governance throughout the world and that there may be peace on the earth and that all wars, violence, and injustice may cease.

We pray for a climate of mindfulness and that we may not walk in a fog but clear headed and with clear vision to see what is happening in our worldwide neighborhood
and that we may see God in each other's eyes. We pray that we may not pass people by on the road and may we always recognize Jesus in the least of these.

We pray for those who are struggling to find employment all over the world and that jobs may be well paying and permanent.

We pray for all those who are in transition at any stage of life. We pray for all of our young people who are being promoted in school, those graduating, those retiring, and those discerning vocations to ministry and new life paths.

We pray for all of us who are learning to deal with a new normal in our health situation. We pray for those who are ill in whatever place the healing process they may find themselves.

We pray  for all those who work to keep us safe from harm. Remembering the people who fix our infrastructures, law enforcement, military, emergency rescue personnel, and all those who are involved in health and safety.

We pray that we may never stop growing into the Family of God you created us to be and that we may be loving, merciful, grateful, and compassionate beings who respect the dignity of all.

We pray this night for all of those who have requested prayer and those of  whom we have been asked to pray for.

We pray for all of our family members who are finding life a struggle and we remember those with chronic pain and mental illness. We pray that a cure may be found for all memory related illnesses.

We pray that everyone who has challenging work loads this week may find peace and time for rest, relaxation, refreshment, and renewal. We pray that we all may master the art and necessities of rest and sleep.

May we lay down our burdens and worries O God and may we find our bodies, minds, and spirits lightened in order to serve you daily.

We pray for all those who minister to our family members at night especially the Automobile Club/AAA, Emergency Room personnel, Hospice workers, Night Caregivers, and those who work in the Mortuary ministries.

We pray for caregivers of every kind from the Parish Priest to the family member who cares for their aging parents and all caregivers in between.

We lift up these prayers and any other prayers of thanksgiving, remembrance, and celebration to you O God who is Creator, Redeemer, and Holy Comforter. Amen.

********************
That's all for tonight Lovies! Let us knit a prayer circle of love around each other and may we feel it like a warm, safe embrace from the God who created us and who makes us whole. We all Matter to God every day, as you matter to me not just on #YouMatterMonday but always. I love you and may you have a restful and peaceful sleep. Take time to unplug and get ready for Take Care Tuesday!

Love, joy, and peace be always yours,

Sara

We will never forget! Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day! Take time to pray for all those who died in the Holocaust and an end to genocide in all its forms

As you walk upon the earth, treat each step as a prayer.
