Today we say our 49th day of Prayer of Remembrance for the Orlando 49! "As long as you speak my name I shall live forever"

Good Evening Dearly Loved Ones!

Happy Sunday and end of July! Today we complete our remembrance cycle of the Orlando 49 and we make them our focus of our prayers and prayer vigil. Today I attended the Buddhist Festival of Obon where we celebrate with joy those who have died. My dad had a hardware business in Guadalupe and was a major sponsor of the Guadalupe Buddhist Church. When I was small I was taken out to dance by a beautiful woman in a kimono. When we were little we dressed up to attend these functions. I always go to these events as an homage to those who were largely responsible for my dad to have a successful business and remember the precious ones who have entered into eternal life. I danced three dances in joyful memory of those who have died and felt the sadness of those who were dancing at Pulse.

Let us light our Candles, Luminaries, Lanterns,Torches and pray in Joyful remembrance of the Orlando 49.

We light a candle for each of the Orlando 49 now in remembrance;

We speak their names and respond;

Happy Friday! Time to wind down, pray, and rest!

Good Evening Dear Ones!

Happy Friday! I don't know about you but I do look forward to the weekend! Today I made it to both my workouts and am struggling to keep my eyes open so this blog and prayer time will be brief. We need to begin to put our anxieties, worries, and anything else that is troubling us into our Worry/ Sabbath Jar and begin to wind down and prepare for our Self-Care and Sabbath Rest retreat time.

Let us be still and listen to your hearts beating and as you breathe realize and give thanks to God  that God put that spirit and breath  of life  into your body, mind, and spirit.

Be still and know that I am God.
Be still and know that I am.
Be still and know.
Be still.
Be.

Close your eyes and go to your happy place.

God we light our candles and pray for rest, relaxation, and the renewing of our bodies, minds, and spirits. We pray for all those who work and cannot  rest that they may be afforded rest time while they are at home. We pray for peace in our hearts, lives, world, nation, and the world. Let peace begin with us. Let us pray for the courage to be mindful of others as we remember and pray for the least of these. We pray for all those things that cause us to be unsettled that we may learn to breathe and take things one at a time and day by day. We pray for all of our family members who are in need of the basic necessities of life and that they may have food, clothing, shelter, and employment. We pray that as we begin this weekend that we may remember and pray for the many faith communities that are preparing for worship and prayer. We pray that we we may be united with them in bonds of love, peace, and greater understanding and acceptance. We pray and light these our candles in loving memory of all who have died and all the family members who mourn their loss. Let us light our candles in loving solidarity together to be truly family and shine our lights to those whose hearts are angered, broken, and in need of holy healing and light. We pray these our prayers in the Holy Name of Jesus. Amen.

"The light of Christ in Me Recognizes the Light of Christ in You!"

Now that we are three!

Good Evening Family of Love and God!

Happy Being Thoughtful and Thankful Thursday!  We have been a family for 3 years now!  I give thanks to God that we are. and I give thanks to you!  We are brothers and sisters together.  Tonight we celebrate here at Walk With Me On Our Journey on its third birthday! I cannot believe it that we here but we are. God is calling us to set an example for all our brothers and sisters together.  We come together as a family tonight to pray and give thanks and vigil. We celebrate yes, but we are here first to pray, make peace, and be the light and comfort to those who are in need of our shoulders, welcoming heart homes, and kind words. We here at Walk With Me On Our Journey are here to build up and not tear down , to plant and to nourish, and to be a family where being CALM (Compassionate, Accepting, Loving, and Merciful) by our words and heartfelt deeds are guided by following God's example of radical love, hospitality, and mercy. Let us take time to pray.

God we light 3 candles tonight in thanksgiving to celebrate Walk With Me On Our Journey's third anniversary. We light these 3 candles as a symbol of what was past, what is here, and what is to come. We pray this night as we continue to show what it is like to be the Family of Love and God in these perilous times. We pray that we may use our words and prayers to lift up the those who are in desperate need of love, resources, encouragement, and a family. We pray that as a family we may draw in all of our family members with loving and welcoming prayers, arms, and  with warm heart homes and sustaining love energy. We pray for all of our family members who have been bullied, hated abused, and who have been victimized by terror. We pray for all of our precious ones who we see the face of Jesus each and every day that they may be comforted and not made to feel invisible and on the margins of society. We pray for all who are ill that their bodies, minds, and spirits may be healed and consoled. We pray for all who have died this day and for their family members who mourn their loss. Help us to grieve well with them. We pray for peace, justice, love, and mercy in our nation and the world. We pray for sound governance by all people who lead us in this country and that they may use words of tact for the good of all. We pray this night for______________. We lift up these our prayers and the prayers that haven't been said to you O God. Amen.

Now repeat after me: "The Light of Christ in Me, Recognizes the Light of Christ in you!"  Imagine that you are passing this candle to the person next to you and passing the candle from family member to family member. Lovingly look into their eyes and with tender and compassionate tone of voice repeat the above.  Don't forget the smile!
