Tonight we conclude our weekend Retreat and Vigil Time by praying for peace and remembering the Martyrs of the Sudans. This is a time of destruction and despair through out the world. and there isn't any time like the present to engage in our Daily Examen and Pray the Litany of Peace. Our lessons are from the feast of the Martyrs of the Sudans, that was omitted this year. We need to pray these lessons and the collects from the Commons of Saints. So let us begin!
This is a version of the five-step Daily Examen that St. Ignatius practiced.
1. Become aware of God’s presence.
This is the time when we become aware of our breathing and grounding ourselves. Let us use the "Peace be stills".
