Dear Family of Love and Pilgrims on Our Life's Journey Together,
This morning I went back to find out when Walk With Me On Our Journey was born! July 28, 2013. We are approaching its 1st anniversary ! By that time I'm thinking that we will have gone over 15,000 page views! I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am each day that I write, pray, prayer walk, take pictures, and share with you each day of our life's journey together. God is continually showing me/us new and amazing insights into how we can be better people, and show and give love to a broken world. Today I have been having the Post-Chemo Kerplop or is it Kerplunk? I should be learning to expect this but I have to get into the mindset that chemo is a process of learning to let go and go with the flow. I'm finding that we all need to find time for the balancing of our bodies, minds, and spirits. I hope and pray that today since it has been and still is Self-Care Saturday time that we'll do just that. It is a wonderful way to prepare for worship and Sabbath rest tomorrow. As we take time for prayer let us remember to take our usual time for prayer resting, using the timer is optional in preparation. Tonight we do this in silence.
Dear God we pray this night for all people who are struggling to let go and go with the flow.
We pray that we may become better at mastering life's balancing of body, mind, and spirit. We pray also that we may become more intentional at self-care.
We pray this night for all of our family members who are ill and have low energy. May they be healed and also given the strength and courage what ever each day brings.
We pry this night for all medical personnel, hospice volunteers, mortuary personnel, caregivers and those who are sitting vigil at bedside. We pray for all who work this night and are stressed out on the weekends.
We pray for all of our Family Members who are religious leaders and members of the many and diverse faith communities that there may be peace, understanding, and the knowledge that everyone is part of the Family of God.
We pray for the homeless and hungry who do not have adequate food, clothing, shelter , and services on the weekend. We pray that we who are ministers in the many faith communities may offer welcoming and loving hospitality without looking down upon your children.
We pray for understanding between the nations and peoples of the world and especially for peace in the war torn areas of the world.
We pray this night for an end to violence, abuse and terror that causes harm and victimization of your children. We pray that we may find the strength to forgive and be the loving children of yours that we are to be.
We pray and give thanks for all those who are newly ordained, discerning vocations, and new life paths and that we(They) may readily accept God's call with a resounding "Yes!" and without fear.
We give thanks for the beginning of Summer and all that it will bring and we pray especially for rain in drought parched areas of our country and around the world.
We pray that we may be good stewards of the environment and that we may conserve your precious resources for those who follow us.
We pray that all of our family members may practice warm weather safety and keep their children and pets out of cars.
We pray for ourselves and on behalf of others remembering__________________
We give thanks especially for________________________
We remember and pray for those who are dying and those who have died today especially___________
And those who mourn losses of any kind.
God we thank you for this time of prayer and silence. We pray that we may rest gentle in your loving care without worries of fears. We ask this in the name of your Son Jesus. Amen.
