Dear Family of Love and Pilgrims on our Journey!
I have be been thinking of the word family and what it means to me. Today I attended a memorial service of a dear and important person in our diocese and a garden party that was also another event. Family is what you make of it and I choose you dear family of love to be my precious and dear family, not just for today but for a life time and beyond. We do not get to take our families for granted or our dear loved ones for that matter. We may get second chances to make amends but we may not get a chance to tell those whom we love, I love you, I support you, I have your back, and you are precious to me. Please take time to do this each and every day as we do it in our family in so many ways everyday. Just a tweet, a post, a pin, and the like along with a loving word,, a tender touch can make all the difference in the world to your family member and to you. Tonight I want you to take time to tell the person in your family who lives with you, is away from you and all those who mean so much to you in Social Media that you love them and have their backs and unconditionally accept them as the lovingly made Children of God. Remember God loves us all equally and without measure. Tonight let's take time give thanks for love and our families. Don't forget today is the Feast of St. Francis and we are going to meditate on this album of music:John Rutter and the Cambridge Singers, Brother Sun Sister Moon
Gracious and loving God of Love and the makers of families. May we never take our families and those we love for granted.
We pray that we may learn what it means to Love our Neighbor as ourselves.
We pray that we peace may prevail upon earth and among all of us who are part of the human family/
We pray to you O God ,for the loving protection of all of our family members who are in danger
We pray for all who are ill and are hospitalized and are afraid .We pray for their bodily healing and the banishment of all fears and anxieties.
We pray that as we become conservationist of God's Cathedral of Life that we may also take time to provide for ourselves much needed self-care and be good stewards of our bodies, minds, and spirits.
We pray for all children who are facing many trials.
We pray for all who mourn and grieve any loss that they may be comforted and given love and consolation.
We pray for all those who are receiving palliative and hospice care and all those who minister unto them.
We pray for all faith leaders who are in preparation for all the services in which they are called to lead and provide pastoral preaching and care.
Today we remember the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi and his words:
Lord God we lift up these our prayers to your Son Jesus Christ in His Most Holy Name. Amen.

Don't forget that Self-Care Saturday is everyday. Be peacemakers, love givers, hope bearers, and Joy bringers to God's Broken world.
Love, prayers, blessings, and peace be always yours,
Sara
