A quiet Self-Care Saturday! Our Season of Prayer Continues

Good Evening Dear Ones!

Happy Self-Care Saturday! I'll bet everyone is feeling a tad bit spent this evening. That's okay I am too. Instead of a lot of words, advice and rants we find ourselves enjoying quiet time of worship and community together.

Here is your do not disturb sign as a reminder:

Let us take a moment to clear our minds and just be. Remember you can always move to a quiet place in your home and shut the door.

Let us engage in our "Be Stills" with interspersed breathing exercises.

Be still and know that I am God.

Inhale deeply.
Exhale slowly
Pause.

Be still and know.

Inhale deeply.
Exhale slowly
Pause.

Be still.

Inhale deeply.
Exhale slowly
Pause.

Be.

It is time once again for our nightly prayer vigil. Let us light our candles and be at prayer.
Gracious and loving God we pray for all of our family members who do not have a place to live food to each and warm clothes to wear. We pray for all who have been affected by unseasonable and dangerous weather. We pray for all who are driving at night that they may be safe and alert. We continue to pray for sound government and qualified candidates who stand for election. We pray for an end to hate and division. We pray that we may sew seeds of love, joy hope and peace. We give thanks for all the goodness and abundant blessings that God has given us.We pray for the people and nations of Burundi and in Central America. We pray that we may be enlivened during this season of prayer and that we may learn to be more CALM ( Compassionate Accepting Loving and Merciful). We pray that we may carry God's light and love to the world not only in our faith communities but to this fragile and broken world.

Let us continue to be at prayer.

God help us to be calm and instill our hearts and heart homes with compassion, acceptance, love and mercy and may we have the necessary Love Energy to accomplish the many things you are calling us to do.

God help us to calm down and be more mindful as we go through all the hustle and bustle of  this season and beyond.

God help us to be more reverent in our devotion and worship to you at church, home, out and about and in your Cathedral of Life.

God help us to take time to care for ourselves and others, being mindful of our needs and our family members.

God help us to be attentive to all of our family members who are ill. Help us to be co-healers with you and that they may know that they are loved and cared for. May we be mindful of all of their struggles in body, mind, and spirit.

God give us courage to examine all the facts in the daily news cycle and speak truth to power.

God give us the mind of your Son Jesus Christ that we may  model our lives after Him.

God give us the courage to lovingly respond and care for your children who are the least of these.

God make us to be the peacemakers that you need us to be to help love, heal, and care for your world and may we lovingly respond to the needs of all  of our family members who are victims of war, violence, terror, and human trafficking.

God give us an awareness of those things that cause us  to be a divided  world and may we learn what it means to be truly your family and love one another.

God we pray for all faith leaders who need the courage to learn how to be united in love, peace, and harmony and accept belief systems that may differ from their own.

God we pray for all who are seeking employment and discerning new life paths.

God we offer our prayers and thanksgivings to you for ourselves and on behalf of those who have asked us to pray and those who haven't the courage to ask for prayers.

God we lift up these our prayers, thanksgivings, celebrations, and remembrances in the Name of your Son Jesus our redeemer, healer, reconciler, brother and friend. Amen.

+++++++++++

Good Night Family of Love! Have a blessed and restful night. I love you all and give thanks to God for you this night and always!

With Compassion, Acceptance, Love, and Mercy,

Sara
