Good Evening Dear Family of Love!
Today has been an emotional day to say the least. I have begun mourning the loss of a family member's 2 year old grandson who died unexpectedly. The cloudy day here in Santa Maria hasn't helped either. You are wondering where I am going with this don't you? Today was the final day of the Tibetan Monk's visit here. I went over to Hancock College before a little early, before my aqua therapy class and saw the completed Medicine Buddha Mandala and Tibetan cultural presentation. This was an amazing event. Following swimming. I returned to the closing ceremony of the Tibetan Monk's visit. Part of making a sacred sand mandala is the deconstruction ceremony where the mandala is in fact and reality destroyed as a symbol of non- attachment. Remember when we were doing the de-cluttering and I had to learn not to be attached to things? This is very much the same thing we all have to do when it comes to things, people, and all the junk that we carry inwardly. This weekend I would like our time together be centered upon becoming unattached to something of our own choosing. This in the Christian tradition is called Kenosis or self-emptying. So let's work on self-emptying and filling ourselves up with the holy so that we may serve God and others with compassion. So this cloudy and sad Friday was leading my heart and soul into the healing light of God and Love.
