Good Evening Dear Family!

Happy Take Care Tuesday! I can't believe that we are marching towards October! This has been a very fast month indeed. Today was a busy day at the Faith Factory as it always seems to be on Tuesdays. My goal today while I was at the window was to keep our guests hydrated even if that meant an extra lunch. Our homeless family members lack sufficient water to keep them well and healthy. Here is an excellent idea for everyone! Stash a case of water in your cars and if you see a homeless and hungry individual give them water and if you are energetic enough make up your own version of the shelf stable lunches. Don't forget our challenge to become volunteers to help the least of these. Tonight let us make vigil and hydrate from the Well of Living Water and the Word of God. Our lessons will come from the two Saints of the Day Lancelot Andrewes and Wilson Carlile. We will combine them into one and they will mirror each other. I normally don't ask for money but, please consider donating to Episcopal Relief and Development for disaster relief. Especially for those who are suffering in Puerto Rico.

Our vigil prayer for the week.

God of All Kindness, we light our candles for all of our family members around the world who do not have access to food, clothing,shelter, clean water, and medical care. We pray for all of our family members who do not have a home to return to either by natural disaster or war and terrorist acts. We pray for all the many aid agencies that are struggling to meet the needs of our family members where resources are scarce. We pray that we may rise up and help them to seek and find solutions to the scarcity of programs and unmet needs. We pray for peace in this fragile and broken world and an end to terror, hatred, bullying and abuse. We pray for each other tonight and as God to heal, help, and console us as we struggle with aspects of daily living. We pray for justice and universal human rights for all. We pray that we may follow Jesus by being CALM(Compassionate, accepting, Loving, and Merciful). May we love one another and shine the light of Christ one to another "The Light of Christ in me Recognizes the Light of Christ in you!" May we all have a restful and blessed rest this night and always.

Almighty God, you gave your servant Lancelot Andrewes the gift of your Holy Spirit and made him a man of prayer and a faithful pastor of your people: Perfect in us what is lacking in your gifts, of faith, to increase it, of hope, to establish it, of love, to kindle it, that we may live in the life of your grace and glory; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the same Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. A Song of Faith

1 Peter 1:3-4,18-21

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, *

by divine mercy we have a new birth into a living hope;

Through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, *

The ransom that was paid to free us *

Gracious God  protect everyone this night as they rest and prepare for your midweek Sabbath day. We pray especially for all of our family members who are clergy and lay who will be leaders and ministers at worship tomorrow. May those who preach, preach  the Good News boldly and with grace and if necessary speak truth to power and be a voice for  the voiceless.

All this we ask in the name of Jesus the Christ our Redeemer, Brother, and Friend. Amen.
