Good Evening Dear Ones!
Happy You Matter Monday! How many of you couldn't wait until school was out and that you weren't going to see your teachers for 3 whole months or a long time after you graduated? Raise your hand! I wasn't one of those because I was a special needs kid who needed extra help and loved learning. Teachers were and are my friends. This is the time we need to remember our teachers and give thanks for all they do for us. Ever wonder why I like studying the etymology of words? Thank Captain Williams! Wonder why I know about Madam C.J. Walker? Thank Dr. Quintard Taylor who was my professor of African American History? Wonder why I can spot fake news? It is probably due to Dr. Hensel who was my professor of Historical Craft. Historical Craft was where I learned The Turabian Style Manual, Primary and Secondary sources. I give thanks for teacher and most especially the greatest teacher of them all, Jesus. God wake us up so that we may be in relationship with you and your Son Jesus whom we lift up our daily prayers in his name.
Awaken our Hearts and voices O, God. Amen.
Eternal Spirit,
Earth-maker, Pain-bearer, Life-giver,
