An afternoon out in nature! Time to visit God's Cathedral of Life Feeling alive and in God's Loving Presence

Dear Family of Love!

This afternoon I decided it was time to go into God's Cathedral of Life visit many places where there were wonderful nature vistas. It really helped me and gave me energy! Going into God's Cathedral of Life can help give us strength energy and help heal our bodies, minds, and spirits. Give it a try and you will not only connect with yourself  but with God and all that is Holy. The fresh air was cleansing and healing. Open your window's now if you can and listen to the chants of the evening breeze. Breathe in the cool breeze and listen to God  telling you "I love you, you are precious, you are mine, I made you out of my image and likeness, you are beautiful and I will never let you go!"

Let's take time to meditate and find God at the center of our being! Here are the musical selections:

Testify to God's Love - Wynonna Judd

God's Love Letter

God of Love, we pray this night for all who don't feel your loving arms around them. Help us to love the unloving and wrap our loving arms around them.

God of Creation, we give thanks to you for all that you have made and may we walk tenderly in God's Cathedral of Life.

God of  Love, we pray for peace in this fragile and broken world. Heal all divisions and  lead us to be peacemakers and  hope bearers.

God of Creation, we pray for rain and an awareness that we are called to be conservationists and stewards of this planet that you called into being.

God of Love, we pray that we all may be lead to full inclusion as Your family Members.

God of Healing, we pray for all our family members both great and small who are ill and seek your healing touch . May they receive your healing and loving grace.

God of Life, may we take time to live as you would have us do. May we respond to your call and follow you wherever you lead us.

God of all Mercy, we pray for all who are transitioning towards a new live with You in the Thin Places and all who have made the heavenly and joyous journey into eternal life.

God  of  all Gentleness comfort those who mourn and may we we be sources of strength and comfort to them.

God we give thanks to you for our many blessings especially_____________________

God of our family, we pray for all our family members and ourselves  remembering especially_____________

Lord Jesus come quickly and heal us and make us whole. We lift these our prayers to you In your most Holy Name. Amen.

It is time to lay down the weaponry of hate and division and begin to love everyone! We are called to be messengers of peace and love!

Dear Family of Love,

I feel as though I'm waiting for NASA to give me the all clear to walk and get energized. Today my body gave me orders to rest. So I did! I hope everyone of you spent You Matter Monday treating yourselves kindly. We don't have a choice, we must do this every minute of the day. I had the TV news on occasionally and hearing all the news on TV and everything on social media made me sad and a bit angry. I posted this on Facebook in response:

Good afternoon dear family ! It seems as though I'm on rest detail today. That means feet up and sleeping. I hate this especially on Monday. But this too shall pass. Please keep all those who have to go to work tired and energy zapped. Keep Ferguson in prayers and all the war torn areas of the world and that includes our own country. We may not like to think of our country as war torn, but it is. We are a divided country because we do not know how to lay down our weaponry of hate, division, sharp tongues, and the lack of respect and dignity of every family member and resident in this country and the world.. We must do this now for the good of all! We must be loving and accepting of all no matter what. God calls us each and every moment we live to be one family not many! When God means all God Means all and not some. Please think and pray on this.

I feel that it is vitally important for all of us to do this now more than ever ! I guess that I'm channeling St. Michael and All Angels and learning to be a messenger of and for hope ,love, peace and inclusion. . You wouldn't have known this since I was in Jammie mode today. I remembered that God calls us to do things wherever we are  even when we are in our Jammies!

Tonight let us meditate what it means to be a messenger of peace, love, hope, and inclusion of all. Remember God means all and not some! We do not get to play pick and choose. Everyone gets to play and be a part of God's Family and is Forgiven all their Sins, Let us take time to go to the center and find peace and learn from the peacemaker of all God and hear what God is saying to us this night.

Tonight's meditative music is this:Johann Pachelbel Chamber Works, London Baroque or this Pachelbel Canon in D one hour version

Holy and merciful God our hearts continue to be heavy with all the saddening and troubling  events around your broken and fragile world. May we lean on you and seek your encircling and  comforting mercy, peace, and love.

We pray this night for all troubled cities around the world remembering especially Ferguson and Hong Kong. We pray for peace and that all of our family members may be safe and that all this rancor and violence may cease.

We pray for all children who are sick and in the hospital and receiving treatments. We pray also for their parents and the medical teams who care for them.

We pray that we may continue to lay down our burdens, worries, and anxieties and anything else that  prevents us from being at peace in body, mind, and spirit.

We pray for all who are near and dear to us and especially those who are on our prayer hearts tonight and  on the prayer hearts of our extended family members.

We pray that  we may become messengers of  God's Good News and that we may be lights of the Gospel to all those who do not know it and to those who may have forgotten what God's Gospel message means.

We pray that we may find our voices to speak truth to power and of the many injustices in our land and around the world.

We pray today for all who are dying and have entered into Heavenly Joy.

We pray for all who are homeless, hungry, refugees, captives, victims of human trafficking, victims of war in our country and around the world, those who seek equality and inclusion, those who long to be able to seek safety from those who hate, harm, bully, and make them feel invisible and insecure.

Gracious God we remember today St. Michael and all Angels with this prayer from the BOOK OF COMMON PRAYER.

Everlasting God, you have ordained and constituted in a wonderful order the ministries of angels and mortals: Mercifully grant that, as your holy angels always serve and worship you in heaven, so by your appointment they may help and defend us here on earth; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Gracious and loving God we offer these our prayers in the name of Your only Son Jesus. Amen.

For those of you who wish to have today's special readings for today they are here:

Genesis 28:10-17

Jacob left Beer-sheba and went toward Haran. He came to a certain place and stayed there for the night, because the sun had set. Taking one of the stones of the place, he put it under his head and lay down in that place. And he dreamed that there was a ladder set up on the earth, the top of it reaching to heaven; and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. And the LORD stood beside him and said, "I am the LORD, the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and to your offspring; and your offspring shall be like the dust of the earth, and you shall spread abroad to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south; and all the families of the earth shall be blessed in you and in your offspring. Know that I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you." Then Jacob woke from his sleep and said, "Surely the LORD is in this place-- and I did not know it!" And he was afraid, and said, "How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven."

Psalm 103 or 103:19-22 Page 733, 734, BCP

Benedic, anima mea

1
Bless the LORD, O my soul, *
and all that is within me, bless his holy Name.
2
Bless the LORD, O my soul, *
and forget not all his benefits.
3
He forgives all your sins *
and heals all your infirmities;
4
He redeems your life from the grave *
and crowns you with mercy and loving-kindness;
5
He satisfies you with good things, *
and your youth is renewed like an eagle's.
6
The LORD executes righteousness *
and judgment for all who are oppressed.
7
He made his ways known to Moses *
and his works to the children of Israel.
8
The LORD is full of compassion and mercy, *
slow to anger and of great kindness.
9
He will not always accuse us, *
nor will he keep his anger for ever.
10
He has not dealt with us according to our sins, *
nor rewarded us according to our wickedness.
11
For as the heavens are high above the earth, *
so is his mercy great upon those who fear him.
12
As far as the east is from the west, *
so far has he removed our sins from us.
13
As a father cares for his children, *
so does the LORD care for those who fear him.
14
For he himself knows whereof we are made; *
he remembers that we are but dust.
15
Our days are like the grass; *
we flourish like a flower of the field;
16
When the wind goes over it, it is gone, *
and its place shall know it no more.
17
But the merciful goodness of the LORD endures for ever on those who fear him, *
and his righteousness on children's children;
18
On those who keep his covenant *
and remember his commandments and do them.
19
The LORD has set his throne in heaven, *
and his kingship has dominion over all.
20
Bless the LORD, you angels of his,
you mighty ones who do his bidding, *
and hearken to the voice of his word.
21
Bless the LORD, all you his hosts, *
you ministers of his who do his will.
22
Bless the LORD, all you works of his,
in all places of his dominion; *
bless the LORD, O my soul.

Revelation 12:7-12

War broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels fought against the dragon. The dragon and his angels fought back, but they were defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. The great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world-- he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, proclaiming,

"Now have come the salvation and the power
and the kingdom of our God
and the authority of his Messiah,
for the accuser of our comrades has been thrown down,
who accuses them day and night before our God.
But they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony,
for they did not cling to life even in the face of death.
Rejoice then, you heavens
and those who dwell in them!
But woe to the earth and the sea,
for the devil has come down to you
with great wrath,
because he knows that his time is short!"

John 1:47-51

When Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him, he said of him, "Here is truly an Israelite in whom there is no deceit!" Nathanael asked him, "Where did you get to know me?" Jesus answered, "I saw you under the fig tree before Philip called you." Nathanael replied, "Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!" Jesus answered, "Do you believe because I told you that I saw you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than these." And he said to him, "Very truly, I tell you, you will see heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man."

Good Night Dear Ones! I love you! May you take time to take care tomorrow. Go out into the world tomorrow and become voices to the voiceless and practice random acts of kindness to all of our family members nearby and far away. I hope I don't have to tell you who our family members and neighbors are. Do I?

With love and peace this night and always!

Finding peace at the Faith Factory and in our own lives!

Dear Family of Love!

What a day this has been! I served at both the 8 and 11 a.m. services today. That meant I needed to be up bright and early. I'm fortunate that I live about 5+ minutes away from St. Peter's a.k.a the Faith Factory. I arrived at the church early enough to open up and feel God's presence in the building while being alone. I love those times best of all because I can touch base with all of those who have gone before and have precious memories of  the 54 years I have been a member. Gradually our parish family members arrived and we did our final preparations for the service and at 8:00 a.m. the service started. I kept feeling peaceful and it remained so throughout the morning and early afternoon. Sometimes on Sunday's the peace may or not be there depending upon the activity level. I took a leaf out of yesterday's blog and decided to intentionally slow down not only in my life but in Sunday worship as well. Rushing through readings, prayers, setting the table for the Holy Eucharist, and all the other aspects of worship do not lend themselves to being mindful, worshipful, and peaceful. I'm learning more and more not to fear silence in worship. It is there for a purpose. These things can be carried in our lives outside the worship setting and  this blog should be helping quite a bit since we do our meditation and slowing down before prayer. Dear family of love, take time to intentionally slow down and enjoy the silence and find peace wherever you are. Doing these things will help promote a healthy body, mind , and spirit. Tonight let us begin winding down and getting ready for You Matter Monday! Remember that we don't get to take all those worries, fears, etc out of the Worry/Sabbath box until Sunset tomorrow. No peeky! No Worries tonight!  Now let's take time for our daily meditation and finding peace at the center.
Let's try this meditation music: Celtic Sunset

God of all creation we come to you this night in the silence of our beings to be at one with you!

God of all creation we come to offer our prayers and thanksgivings for ourselves and on behalf of others. We pray and give thanks especially for_____________________________________

God of all creation bind us into one family of love and that all of  our divisions may cease  with all living things and all that you have made.

God of all creation  take away all hatred from all of our family members who wish harm to our brothers and sisters who are most vulnerable and feeling unsafe, unwanted, and unloved.

God of all creation, bring to all drought parched areas of  the world much needed rain showers that will cleanse and heal your Cathedral of Life.

God of all creation, we pray for all of your children who are near death and have made the journey into The Thin Places to be with you in your eternal home of peace and joy.

God of all creation, may our hearts blossom with love for all living things and that we may practice conservation.

God of all creation, may we be compassionate, giving, and comforting towards all who are ill, in need, homeless, hungry, and in mourning May we help our brothers and sisters lay down and share their burdens no matter how light or heavy. For you taught us to share and give of ourselves.

God of all creation, may we continue to do justice, love mercy and walk humbly with you with light footsteps upon this fragile and broken world.  May we with your help speak truth to power and never forget that we are to be your voice and that we must speak for our voiceless and fearful family members.

God of all creation, protect and let peace prevail in Ferguson, Syria, Iraq, Israel and Gaza,, Africa, and in the Ukraine and all other places in this world. and may we never forget the refugees, persecuted, and all of our family members who have lost their lives by acts of violence and terror.

God of all creation, we lay down our bodies, minds, and spirits and take our rest and lift these our prayers and thanksgivings in the name of your only begotten Son Jesus the Christ our Redeemer, Healer, and Voice for all the voiceless. Amen.

Good Night Family! I love you ! Remember tomorrow is You Matter Monday! Give yourself some slack and and remember that You matter to God and to me as well. Take good care throughout the hours of the night and may you wake refreshed and renewed.

Dear Family of Love,

I hope everyone is having a good day and that everyone is practicing self-care It isn't always easy especially when we are faced with many challenges. Today I have been having main computer issues at home. I will stop tonight  and work on it tomorrow. Rest is important now more than ever. I'm feeling well and happy but the chemo treatment's side effects  are gradually  becoming cumulative.
I hope to be back prayer walking tomorrow. Our journey is bringing us to more times of rest and renewal. Tonight let us begin our Sabbath Rest a day earlier. Let us take time for meditation and a time of prayer. Let's go deeper into the center and take time to relax. If music isn't your thing to meditate to please take out a timer or mindfulness bell. If reading from spiritual tomes are how you center yourself please do. Tonight's music is : Tibetan Healing Sounds   You don't have to do the whole 11 hours.

We pray for all refugees who are homeless and pray that they may return safely home.
