The crickets sang their night chant to welcome us to walk the labyrinth

Dear Family of Love,

I hope everyone had a Wonderful Wednesday and that you all remembered that You Matter, and that you took time to Take Care. Tonight I attended the Caregiver Support Group and it turned out to be one of our longer times together. Lots of people needing care and encouragement. Following the meeting I went over to Marian Regional Medical Center and walked the labyrinth as our prayer walk tonight. The crickets sang their night chant to welcome us to walk the labyrinth in peace and in the moonlight. It was another beautiful night to walk the labyrinth. The walk was prayerful and contemplative. It's a nice change from walking the El Camino Real with the traffic. Tonight at the labyrinth it was the God, Crickets, and us prayer walking in peace. If you should find yourself near a labyrinth to walk. Please do so your body, mind, and spirit will thank you.  Tonight instead of written prayers we will go deeper and find peace at the center! Let us take time to do a virtual labyrinth walk and  pray our special intentions and find peace. Let us listen to Heart Meditation Music

As we approach the labyrinth we walk this path and begin to let go of all our worries and begin taking deep breaths and asking God to be with us.

 We give thanks that God gives us this time to grow in the fruits of the Spirit and that our prayers will reach higher than this tree.
 As we approach this holy pathway we begin to listen for God's still small voice and his words to "Be still and know that I am God!

 We set our prayerful intentions as we approach the start of our prayer walk on this holy pathway.

 As we set our feet on this holy pathway we pray God's Blessing on our feet, prayers, breathing and that each step we make may be made into a prayer, thanksgiving, remembrance, and in celebration of the life God gives us. Walk slowly with gentle steps and calm breathing.
 We also pray along with the sounds of nature this evening we have crickets singing their night chant.
 As we approach the center we begin to pray for peace in the world and for the many global concerns that hurt our hearts and minds.
 We continue to walk slowly into the center and  when we arrive their we take enjoy the silence and focusing in on the abundant gifts that God has given us. As we prepare to leave the center let us lift up our hands and hearts to God as if we are reaching up for a heavenly embrace as we would when we were little children with our parents.  We acknowledge that we are God's children and that we are a family united in love, joy, and mercy. May we find peace at this moment.
 As walk out of the center we continue in silence and no prayers offered but a still heart and soul on a pilgrimage of a very special kind.
 We walk over to the fountain that represents the Living Waters of Life and recall the promises at baptism. We give thanks for water and we pray for rain to soothe and heal our drought parched world.
 We take time to visit this statue of St. Francis and we remember this:
The Prayer of Saint Francis
Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.

O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console,
To be understood as to understand,
To be loved as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
It is in dying to self that we are born to eternal life.

As we look up and see the Moon we remember the prayer that we learned as a child:

I see the Moon and the Moon sees me!
God Bless the Moon and God Bless Me!

We end our prayer walking this evening breathing in the night air that cleanses and listen once again to the chant the crickets are singing.

+++++++
