Being alive to love, laugh and walk with joyful and prayerful steps! Enjoying God's Artwork in God's Cathedral of Life

Dear Family of  Love,

I hope you all took time for Sabbath-Care today. I at first thought that this afternoon I would be hitting the tired zone. I did for a little while but then my energy picked up! It is always amazing when it happens. This evening I did half of the Whole Holy #3 and felt much better. I give thanks to God for energy and even doing a fun and happy walk with unconventional music. Yes, I can break loose of the princess music and sacred music fare. I mixed it up a bit. This all goes along with last evening's post.
I love to have fun, laugh, and enjoy living, loving and laughing. They have become important ingredients of my new and upbeat life. My lessons learned these past few months are don't take life too seriously or you'll miss out on the most beautiful life that God has given you and us! Tonight I want to share with you the outdoor paintings that God provided for us. We will do that first because they are amazing! Then we will take time for meditation and a little bit of prayer.

Here is God's Outdoor Artwork in God's Cathedral of Life!

Our meditation music is  mix of Spanish Guitar selections. Take time to relax and go deeper and find peace at the center.

Holy Spirit, guide us this night to continue to be empowered to make peace in this broken world with our family members with whom we find ourselves divided.

Holy Spirit, may we lovingly support our family members who labor for the common good.

Holy Spirit, channel our lives in the direction you would have us go.

Holy Spirit, enfold all of our family members who are dying and have died this day in your comforting arms.

Holy Spirit, bring comfort to all who mourn and are pre-grieving losses.

Holy Spirit, may we sew seeds of  joy, hope, peace, and love to all of our family members and the least of these.

Guide us to the well of the Water of Life and may we never thirst and feel the Waters coursing through our veins.

Holy Spirit, heal our world, our wounds, our hearts, and all the illnesses and injustices in the world.

Holy Spirit, we lift up our prayers, celebrations, remembrances, and thanksgivings especially____________ and  every unspoken prayer that hasn't been able to be said.

We pray these our prayers in Jesus our loving and merciful redeemer;s name. Amen.

Prayer for Labor Day from the BOOK OF COMMON PRAYER

Almighty God, you have so linked our lives one with another that all we do affects, for good or ill, all other lives: So guide us in the work we do, that we may do it not for self alone, but for the common good; and, as we seek a proper return for our own labor, make us mindful of the rightful aspirations of other workers, and arouse our concern for those who are out of work; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Have a blessed night dear family! I love you! Remember that you matter, and are blessings to me and to God. May you find rest, joy, and peace this night. I give thanks to God for you this day and always.

Love, prayers, peace and blessings be always yours.

Are you having any fun? I hope you are allowing yourself to let go and let loose!

Dear Family of Love!

I'm writing this a little later than usual because, I had to go and have dinner at Alex BBQ in Shell Beach one last time before it closes its doors tomorrow. I am allowing myself date nights during chemo cycles and just because it is down right fun. Being spontaneous and having fun are important for our bodies, minds, and spirits too. Remember Jesus was a kind of party animal and knew how to eat, drink, and be merry. Wine, bread, Food, and community all had a role in the early Churches' life and should be made a part of our own as well. You can even do it on your own if you do not have a community. I have my own date nights.  Jesus taught us about life balancing. He often would stop the glorification of busy, take time for prayer and relaxation and he knew how to get away from it all. We need to do this now and during this long weekend of ours.

So here is your prescription;

RX tomorrow; Take one dose of worship and Sabbath Care tomorrow morning. Pray, Give thanks, sing praise to God and also find solace in the Holy Eucharist.
Rest, relax, refresh, and renew your bodies minds and spirits in the afternoon. Leave things that need to be done alone.
RX Monday on Labor Day: Take time for play, fun, whimsy, and allow yourself to let go and let loose.
Still leave things alone. This weekend is for you and yours. This is Super Self-Care Weekend!

Tonight let's find peace at the center and take time to set all our worries aside in the Worry/Sabbath Box and don't look at them until Tuesday or later in the week.

Here is tonight's Relaxation Music along with a few photos from tonight! David Arkenstone -Celtic Sanctuary

Blog News when I got home Soon we will celebrate 20,000 page views.

Prayers for today

Holy Spirit, give us rest as we prepare for our Sabbath observances tomorrow. May we awaken and be fit to serve you where ever you call us to be.

Holy Spirit, empower us to speak and practice peace in every step that we take on our journey with You, Jesus, and God our Creator and loving Parent.

Holy Spirit, Give us tender hearts to care for all of our family members. We remember that our family members are our enemies too and that we are our enemies keepers ,who are our brothers and sisters as well.

Holy Spirit, channel our energies to help make our local, state, national, and international neighborhoods places of justice, peace, kindness, mercy, and love.

Holy Spirit, surround all those who are grieving any loss but most especially loved ones, and friends. your Holy Comfort.

Holy Spirit, enliven us so that we ma let go and let loose and have times in which to dance, sing, and be joyful with hearts and hands that are uplifted in praise and in community.

May we offer our prayers, thanksgivings, remembrances, and  celebrations to you Jesus with our voices or in the quietness of our hearts.

May we rest gentle in your arms and awaken with joyful and loving hearts.

St. Augustine's Prayer to the Holy Spirit
Breathe in me, O Holy Spirit, that my thoughts may all be holy. Act in me, O Holy Spirit, that my work, too, may be holy. Draw my heart, O Holy Spirit, that I love but what is holy. Strengthen me, O Holy Spirit, to defend all that is holy. Guard me, then, O Holy Spirit, that I always may be holy. Amen.

Good Night Dear Family! I love you! You Matter, You bless everyone you touch daily with love. I give thanks to God for you always. Rest gentle and take time for Sabbath-Care tomorrow.

Side effects or Side Benefits of Chemo! My prayer walking feet are wonky again!

Dear Family of Love!

I didn't think that I would experience the side effects of chemo that I'm experiencing today. Usually Friday's are easy schmeesy! Not so on Keeping the Faith Friday Fearlessly without Fretting. Today I had a meeting at 9:30 and then everything went down hill. I was at the Madonna Plaza in San Luis Obispo when I started to feel clammy and dehydrated. I called my Oncology Nurse and they had to call me back. When I got home I needed to rest and then I received a call and I was able to get in around 3:00 p.m. today. I am again learning that there are side benefits of going through chemo!Rest, relaxation, renewal, hydration, and yes, even letting things go so that one my recover fully from chemical surgery which is what chemo really is. Doing this is called radical self-care. If you can't beat em', join em'! Tonight I invite you to sit back and close your eyes and find peace at the center. Rest, relax, refresh, and renew. Tonight's meditation and relaxation music is Alma Del Sur . Take time to listen and when you are ready begin  with your personal prayers, thanksgivings, celebrations, and remembrances are the order of the evening.

Holy Spirit, enliven us with your spirit so that we may bring love, peace, hope, and joy to this broken world.

Holy Spirit, heal our weary bodies, minds, and spirits that we may be wholly whole and spread the Good News of God in Christ to those who are in need of love, compassion, and acceptance.

Holy Spirit, bring your comforting spirit to all those who mourn and have been affected by tragedies.

Holy Spirit, quicken our minds that we may think aright and that our thoughts, words, and deeds may heal, comfort, and speak truth to power and that justice and peace may prevail upon Earth,

Holy Spirit, may we be soothed by the Waters of Life coursing through our veins and may we never  thirst but thirst after righteousness.

Holy Spirit, empower us to practice random acts of kindness and to what is pleasing in God's Sight.

Holy Spirit, may we respond with a resounding yest to God's Call for our lives.

Holy Spirit, empower us to speak for and serve the powerless.

Holy Spirit, may we feel your energizing presence that we may be guided to do all the things that God is having us do and to be.

God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit may our prayers be acceptable as we lift them to you and lay them gently in your holy and gracious arms. Amen.

Time to gear up for the Final 4 Chemo cycles! Bye Bye Chemo #8 - Our final chemo journey is Dedicated to the Holy Spirit

Dear Family of  Love !

We are now on the Road to the Final 4 chemo cycles and I'm so excited about this and what it means. It means that we are going into the period of prayer and meditation dedicated to the Holy Spirit. Look to these next weeks as one of empowerment and listening for the continuous rush of a mighty wind giving us the energy to meet the days ahead. Today I have been thankful to God for you and God's blog in so many ways.Just know that I love you and I have your back and that you can always count on me for prayers, love, support, and a soft place in which to fall. I do not say these words lightly or frivolously but with a tender heart at the depths of my being. Tonight let us take time to find peace at the center and go deeper to that place of renewal and joy. Tonight we have John Rutter Magnificat for our joyful music.

Lord Jesus as we prepare to dedicate our time of meditation of prayers, meditation ,and empowerment to the Holy Spirit, may we always remember that you are continuing to heal and are our Blessed Savior who came to forgive us all our sins and that remind us that we are all family members.

Jesus, we pray for all those who travel this weekend and pray for traveling mercies for everyone.

Jesus, we pray for all those who sit vigil at bedside and we pray for peace and comfort of all concerned. We pray that those we witness may find comfort and peace.

Jesus, we pray for all those who are planning to raise funds for any disease or condition. We pray that people may give generously from their hearts and not by guilt.

Jesus, we pray for peace in this broken world and that all may be able to end their violent divisions.

Jesus, may we become peace makers, light shiners, hope bearers, and love bringers and show ourselves as lights of the world and the salt of the Earth.

Jesus,  bring us rain that will heal this parched earth of ours.

Jesus, we pray for all those who are preparing to undergo medical tests and are awaiting test results.

Jesus, we continue to pray for justice, peace, mercy in our land and in all places around the world.

Jesus, we pray for the leaders of the nations that they will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.

Jesus, we pray for the least of these our family members that they may be welcomed in all places of sanctuary and that their needs may be met. May we show them love, compassion, and recognize you Lord Jesus in each face.

Jesus, accept these our prayers and those prayed on behalf of others in you most Holy Name. Amen.
