Back on our journey with love and prayers in our hearts

Dear Family of Love!

We hit the prayer walking trail tonight and it was a quarter loop. I'm having to adjust to my body doing things that I'm not quite used to. Flexibility is our byword. This evening I'm sharing with you the photos from this evening's prayer walk and we will have a short prayer that will follow each photo.

Dear God we entrust to you all our family members and entrust our neighbors nearby, stranger, and enemy to your never failing love and care.
God we pray for all of our animal family members especially those that are ill, have run away and crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

We pray for all those who travel by any mode of transport and for their safety on the roads, air, sea, and we remember those who are on the International Space Station
We take time to reflect upon this day and the week past. May we be guided with courage to take new steps.
God we are thankful for all your abundant blessings and especially___________________

We pray for all those who work on the weekend  and for safety in the work places. We pray for all who work after hours and long shifts outside their normal sleep patterns

We pray on our journey for all those whom we meet and may we show God's love by being kind and compassionate with a smile on our faces.
We pray that we may be able to live balanced lives where our bodies, minds, and spirits may be in harmony.

We thank you for giving us new paths to walk and new life paths that challenge and excite us.
We thank you for the beauty of God's Cathedral of Life and trees that bring us oxygen to breathe
We pray for peace on Your Planet Earth and may there be and end to hate and war.
We give thanks for bumps along that remind us that you are with us and that we can ask for help from you and others.
May we feel your spirit enlivening us like the breezes that cool us on warm days.
Help us to never look backwards but always forward and see the adventure that awaits us daily. May we walk with courage, strength, hope, and love in our hearts.
May we shine your light to others as you shine your light on us.
May we always have kind words, thoughts, and actions towards one another.
May we walk with you on our journey carrying love, prayers, and compassion on the path you have set before us.
May we always take time to forgive and renew when we fall and fail.
We take time to add our own personal time of prayer, thanksgiving, remembrances, and celebrations.
We pray that we may be loving and accepting towards all our family members and remember that everyone on the planet is no matter what.
God we pray that we may lay down our burdens, worries and anything else that is making our hearts and minds race. We place them into the Worry/Sabbath box so that we may rest this night and throughout the weekend.
We pray for all who are on our hearts and minds now and offer them to you O God.
We lift up these prayers to you O God and in the Name of your Son Jesus. Amen.

I wanted to thank you for all of your prayers and love this week. I love you, you matter, and am blessed to call you family.

Love, Peace, prayers, blessings and Joy be always yours,

We must slow down! Time to Stop, Look, and Listen

Dear Family of Love!

I'm back! Have you missed me? Yesterday was one of those days when I was extremely tired and everything hurt. Today I'm feeling better and stronger. I missed writing to you but I did pray for you and yours. I was struck by this quote from Thomas Merton: "We must slow down to a human tempo and we’ll begin to have time to listen." Often times we become senseless Whirling Dervishes and this is not sane or good for anyone. Rest times are key in order for us to listen to God in the stillness and especially in times of fatigue and pain. We need to allow for these times in our lives on a regular basis. I invite you to try a time of rest and changing up your routine. Don't forget to allow for fun too!

Today I did take a few outings that really helped refresh me. I went out to dinner and the later on a walk to the store with prayers in between. I feel much better and am grateful that I do. I may get to a loop tomorrow but I will know tomorrow.

Let us Stop, Look, and Listen to God in the stillness while we rest and pray.

God give us the courage to rest when we must and stop being human doings but human beings.

Help u to listen for your voice as we rest and what you are telling us in our moments of tiredness and dis-ease.  We pray that we will honor our delicate shells that house our souls.

God we pray that we may look out for our family members when they are feeling tired and un-well. Give us courage to reach out help them.

God we pray for this Your broken and troubled world. We pray for peace and  an end of violence and injustice everywhere. We pray that Human rights will be honored and every human and animal being is loved,  protected, respected, and given their dignity.

We pray for______________

We give thanks to you God for________________

We remember this day all those who are dying and have died today and entered the Thin Places especially___________

We pray for all who mourn and are mourning losses of any kind especially_____________

We celebrate this day_______________________

We pray for all those who are in transition and are discerning vocations and new life paths.

We lift up these our prayers to you O God in the Stillness of our hearts and bodies that have taken time to stop, look, and listen to you.  Amen.

That's all for now dear family! I love you , you matter, and hope that you have remembered that today is still Keeping the Faith Friday Fearlessly without Fretting. I give thanks to God for you this day and always.

Love and peace of mind.

Prayers for the tender souls

Dear Family of Love,

My body is on rest detail. What does that mean? It means we pray in place. Please remember to send in your prayer requests.  This was a day when I was  having periods of extra rest after getting home from church.
Tonight's prayers are here:
                                   Prayers for the Tender Souls

We pray this night for our mental health professionals and all of our mentally ill family members who have fallen through the cracks.

We pray for better early interventions for those with mental illnesses and that everyone will be able to listen for their unspoken cries for help.

We pray for the marginalized who feel outcast. May we lovingly bring them into the circle and show them how You love us.

We pray for all of our Family members who have PTSD that they may receive care and the necessary services that will help them prosper and live productive lives.

We pray for our homeless family members who live outdoors. We pray that there may be adequate shelters and a variety of places to live that will meet their needs. We pray that we may be sensitive to their needs when we see them as we walk, shop, and are in our cars.

We pray for the safety of all the vulnerable members of our society.

We pray for better gun laws that will both protect our family members in our community and the persons who aren't suitable gun owners.

We pray that all churches may be truly sanctuaries for everyone and that there won't be a litmus test required to belong. We pray that all faith leaders will give the least of these the the security and feeling that they are loved, accepted, and that their dignity is respected regardless of who they are. Help everyone know who they are and whose they are!

We pray that there may be social service ministries in our urban centers that are non-threatening and available 24/7/365. May we be guided to think outside the box and minister to our family members who need these services.

We pray for compassionate immigration reform and that families may be kept together.

We pray for all of our medical professionals who work in the ER this night and those who work in the Mortuary and Hospice ministries.

We pray for an end to violence against women and children.

God be with the community of Isla Vista and all places of learning where violence has occurred. In the silence remember the places that come to mind and pray for survivors and those who have lost their lives.

God help us to be better at listening, watching, and being family to those who are different that ourselves.
May we see you in their eyes and love them as you love us.

God we lift up these our prayers and the prayers that we have been requested to pray this day to you !
Amen.
