Mindful living, loving, and praying

Dear Family of  Love and Pilgrims on our Journey!

We are in a holding pattern until the weather cools down and I can walk safely. So we rest, take it easy and yes learn to hydrate and eat. No mean feat on a hot day! I'm trying to get into good habits prior to my chemo therapy. Let us begin to be mindful in our living, loving, and praying! Here are a few suggestions to follow:

Mindful Living:

Get enough rest, relaxation, refreshment and renewal
Eat well and remember protein is very important.Watch the salt and the fats and preservatives.
Drink plenty of fluids and if you consume alcohol do it in moderation.
Mind your stresses and anxieties.
Challenge your brains to do something new.
Get some exercise of  some kind.
Follow the directions on medication labels. Do not take any more than necessary.
Get your baseline checkups and tests.
Be kind to your body and mind and that means yourself. Be a human being not a human doing!

Mindful loving

Love God, yourself, and your neighbor
Love without expecting anything in return.
Love and compassion go hand in hand.
Love your enemies and do good to those who hate you.
Love with kindness.
Love with dignity, respect, and unconditional acceptance
Love with joy and a peaceful and tender heart
Love by showing hospitality
Love by giving of yourself.
Love by instilling hope
Just Love!

Mindful Praying
Pray with a peaceful mind, body, and spirit.
Make your prayer time a time of Sabbath rest and a conversation with God.
Give God the honor of your time and listen to God.
Take time to pray with intention and without rushing.
Don't forget to add prayers of thanksgiving.
Do not make this a time of long and drawn out prayers This is no time for Hamlet's Soliloquy!
Pray for yourself too God wants and needs to hear from you and know how you are doing.
Prayer walking combines the best of many worlds. A combination of body, mind , and spirit.
Take time to pray often.
Pray for our Family members even if they happen to be our enemies and the persons we do not get along with.

Blessed art thou, O Lord our God, King of the universe, we give thanks to you this day for all of the many blessings you bestowed upon us.

We pray for all those who are fighting fires and our family members who have been affected by these fires.

We pray for the Nigerian Girls #BringBackOurGirls , who have been kidnapped and we pray for their safe return. You may pray the list of the names by clicking on this link. List of the Nigerian Girls

We pray and remember the miners who lost their lives in Turkey. We pray for mine safety world wide.

We add our prayers for ourselves and those whom we have been asked to pray for.

We pray for all everyone who is ill, infirm, and in any need. We remember especially the homeless, the hungry, the lonely, and the lost and the least of these.

We pray for an end to this hot weather and a return to cooler temperatures. Watch over the elderly, disabled, pets, and children and sensitive to the heat.

God we offer these our prayers, thanksgivings, celebrations and remembrances to you ! Amen.

The Lord Almighty grant us a peaceful night and a perfect
end. Amen.
