The Pilgrim Prayer Walker's Tool Box to Sustain Energy

Dear Family of Love and Pilgrims on Our Journey,

We prayed and walked a half a loop tonight and I know we could have done more but I'm banking my energy for this week. I'm in preparation for surgery (Port placement) and chemotherapy on Tuesday and Wednesday. I am thankful that I didn't feel as wiped out as I thought I would be due to all the travel. That is God at work in my life and in ours. Here is a tool box to help you sustain energy when you need to. We all need to be mindful of our bodies, minds, and spirits.

The Pilgrim Prayer Walker's Tool Box to Sustain Energy

Take time to be with God and have daily Sabbath rest.
Be kind and compassionate to yourself. Make yourselves priority ONE. You Matter as do we all.
Eat well and keep your protein up! Watch salt, sugar and fats.
Drink plenty of fluids and if you drink alcohol please consume in moderation.
Get enough rest at least 8 hours of sleep.
Get away from it all by taking a drive, short vacation, or close a door in your home and be alone.
Prioritize your goals and what must be done daily and weekly.
Get enough exercise but don't push it when your body won't let you.
Take time for creativity and hobbies.
Take time for whimsy and fun.
Honor your bodies,minds, and spirits.
Get help if you need it to make life easier
Take time to check in with your faith community.
Curl up and get cozy.
Watch a movie or better yet go to a movie, play, or attend a concert. Listen to the playlist of your life in your favorite music.
Prayer Walk.
Sing in the shower.
Don't overdo after surgery or treatments.
Simplify things.
Take out orders of food.
Go outside and experience God in God's Cathedral of Life.

Now please take time to look at tonight's photos and pray !

God we give thanks to you for this day of seasonable weather and all your gifts of abundance.

We invite you as you invite us on our journey of life that you have so lovingly planned for us.
May we feel the warmth of  your love, compassion, and mercy like the warmth of the Sun.
We pray and remember all those who have lost their lives crossing the streets walking and any form of transportation on our roadways. We pray for all of us who drive to be alert and aware.
We pray that we may shine and reflect your light to everyone we meet and and remember to smile and show it in our eyes.
May we find times of rest, relaxation, and renewal and may we also unplug and  unwind in the evening.
May we continue to build in ourselves good foundations and habits to sustain our energy in daily living.
Fortify us O God in what ever we are lacking and may we draw closer to you daily and feel your presence ever near us, in us , and through us.
Continue to guide our footsteps on the path of life that you have called us to do. May we have courage to accept that call with enthusiasm and without fear.
 God we pray for______________
God we remember_____________
God we give thanks for__________
God we celebrate this day____________
Shine in our hearts as we reflect upon this week and today.
God may we awake rested and renewed to serve all our family members in Your Kingdom.

All this we ask in your name. Amen.
