We prayer walked tonight! Connecting with our loved ones and not taking them for granted

Dear Family of Love!

We returned to the prayer walking trail tonight! Yes, it is true! We did half a loop and took lots of photos! It was a beautiful evening to walk, pray, and take pix. Being outside had a cleansing effect on my spirit. This weekend has had its ups and downs and getting used to firsts. We all take it for granted that we will have our loved ones with us forever. I realized that I had lived with my dad almost every day for 54 years since I was born. I took it for granted that he would be around  longer. Let's not take our loved ones for granted anymore.  Every day is precious when we have our loved ones and family members in our lives. Let us keep our loved ones in our hearts and prayers and reconnect with them. Loved ones can include our big family on Twitter, Facebook, Google + , Pinterest, etc. Let us pray for all of our family members whom we love and may we always hold them in our hearts as precious, as God does us.

Dear God we pray for all of our family members who are in mourning may we reach out with loving hands, hearts, and shoulders to cry on.

We pray this night for all of our family members who are living on the margins of  society. May we bring them into the loving circle of our family with welcoming and loving compassion.

We pray for all families who have loved ones with mental illness and memory disorders.

We pray for all caregivers that they may allow themselves time for respite and self-care.

We pray for all religious leaders and communities that they may be in tune with their congregations and their need for spiritual direction and pastoral care.

We pray for all of our family members in social media. May they know that they are loved and not alone and that as family members they are accepted as the authentically beautiful people God made them to be.

Give each of us restful sleep without worry, pain, and wound up minds. We pray for peace and balance of our bodies, minds, and spirits.

We continue to pray for The Missing and Kidnapped Girls from Nigeria and the victims of the shooting in Isla Vista. We pray for an end to all violent acts.

We pray for all who are ill and in pain that they may be healed of their infirmities.

God we pray for our Troops, Gold Star Families, Veterans, and all those who are called to protect us and keep us safe. We pray for their safety at home and abroad.

God we offer all those who we have been asked to pray for and carry in our hearts this night remembering especially______________

God we lift up these prayers to you O God. Amen.

Have a blessed night! I love you, you matter, and may you take time for Sabbath rest tonight.

Love, blessings, prayers, and peace be always yours,

Sara
