Rest time prior to Chemo #10 next week.

Dear Family of Love,

This evening I was really trying to go and do a Whole Holy #3 miler but it was not to be. My body decided for me that I would begin banking my energy and getting rest for Chemo #10 which will happen hopefully  next Tuesday. I'm getting good at this and it isn't easy. It fits really well with last Friday's blog about having my feet up! They are, and I'm sitting still and blogging and praying for you and on behalf of others.I hope everyone had a good Friday and are beginning to wind down and enjoy your weekend. I  was wondering when I say enjoy your weekend what the word enjoy really meant along with the synonyms! Here it is!

enjoy
enĖˆjoi
verb
1.
take delight or pleasure in (an activity or occasion).
"Joe enjoys reading Icelandic family sagas"
synonyms:like, love, be fond of, be entertained by, take pleasure in, be keen on, delight in, appreciate, relish, revel in, adore, lap up, savor, luxuriate in, bask in; informal get a kick out of, get a thrill out of, dig

Dear ones, it seems like that is what the prescription for the weekend is! God is always having us lay down our burdens and lay them on His shoulders. I'm reminded of Handel's Messiah and this particular piece: His Yoke is easy! or Come Unto Me -Dan Schutte

Tonight let us take time to rest, renew, and begin to prepare for the weekend. Let us start preparing our list to go into the Worry/Sabbath box

Let us begin to enter into Friday meditation and ask God to help us to get rid of all the things that are plugging up our works either bodily, mindfully, or spiritually.  Take time to listen to this:
Be not afraid- Talbot

Holy and Gracious God we come before you weary and ask that you show us how to  find rest and energy.

Holy and Life Giving Spirit, Energize and empower us for daily living and all the tasks that you are calling us to do.

Holy Jesus, our Healer and Redeemer, Heal all of our infirmities and those of others. May we learn from you how to find a quiet place to rest and pray.

Holy and Gracious God, we pray that we may truly be family and that we may never look another family member in the eyes with hatred, disdain, or see them as invisible. May we only see love and you  O Lord.

Holy and Life Giving Spirit, May we listen to what you are calling us to do and be. May we respond with  a courageous and loving Yes. We pray for all who are looking for employment and seeking new life paths,

Holy Jesus our Healer and Redeemer, Give us courage to be seekers after justice and peace. May we always consider the least of these in what ever we do.

Holy and Gracious God, we pray for an end to violence and terror throughout the world and that nations and rogue militias may  be stopped and that all nations will be united in justice, peace, equality, and mercy.

Holy and Life Giving Spirit, be our Holy Comforter when we are in times of great grief and may we be a comfort and consolation to others.

Holy Jesus our Healer, Redeemer, and Friend, we offer these our prayers and those on behalf of others especially ____________All this we ask in Your Most Holy Name. Amen.
