I don't know what to say!

Dear Family of Love,

I love you! Tonight we have seen anger, hatred, and fear at play in our nation. I really don't know what to say but this: Jesus Wept and is weeping.

I wrote two things on Facebook tonight here is one of them.

Don't forget that in Germany it is the anniversary of Kristallnacht the Night of Broken Glass. For those of you who voted for Donald Trump you have broken our nation into shards of glass that are irreparable. Questions you need to ask yourselves is this are your ready to help those of us who are poor, marginalized, help pay for our health insurance, feed us, clothe us, shelter us, allow us to live authentically without fear, are you prepared to stand up for the marginalized. Are you truly ready to walk the path that Jesus walked and talk the talk that Jesus talked. ? What say you?

Here is the other:

Stories  from the window !

This afternoon while I was handing out the lunches at the window. I felt sadness and it just wasn't the time change our family members are hurting. I could see it in their eyes and demeanor. Around 4:00 p.m. the fog started rolling in and the lighting became darker and more somber. Seeing today's faces made my heart hurt. As I walked back down the hall to the church office it felt like someone had turned on the AC which they hadn't and it felt like fog had seeped in under the door. I guess that was my clue that I usually get when I feel pain for our family members far and wide. We must stand together and remember the least of these and yes friends that is all of us. Tomorrow we roll our sleeves up and take our country back and stand united. In the mean time does anyone have a tool kit for us to be protected. What can we do for the poor? What can we do for the stranger and immigrant in our midst? How do we stand united as LGBT community. We need to be kind to each other.

Tomorrow I hope to be more comforting. I'm just too heart broken and rattled.

In the meantime this prayer:

"Lord it is night. The night is for stillness. Let us be still in the presence of God. It is night after a long day. What has been done has been done; what has not been done has not been done. Let it be. The night is dark. Let our fears of the darkness of the world and of our own lives rest in you. The night is quiet. Let the quietness of your peace enfold us, all dear to us, and all who have no peace. The night heralds the dawn. Let us look expectantly to a new day, new joys, new possibilities. In your name we pray. Amen." (New Zealand Prayer Book)

And a prayer in remembrance of Kristallnacht-

We remember a night of darkness and fear that swept the heartland of Christian Europe like a scourge. We remember those who were persecuted. Jews for being Jews. We remember those who spoke out, brave souls who tried to save a world.
And we remember the silence! How many stood aside, mute and unconcerned forgetting the divine command: "You shall not stand idle while your neighbour bleeds."
For the sin of silence,
For the sin of indifference,
For the secret complicity of the neutral,
For the closing of borders,
For the washing of hands from blame,
For the crime of forgetfulness,
For the sin of meaningless rhetoric,
Let there be no forgetfulness before the Throne of Glory, and let memory startle us at any moment, when we lie down and when we rise up. Let us remember and never forget.

Let us pray that we will be people of compassion who will make a space for the other.

All:

We share the world"s horror at the tragic loss of life resulting from terrorism in Bali, Israel, America and other parts of the world. Together we mourn for the victims and grieve with those whose loss is so great. As people of faith we pray for peace and call on world leaders to respond by seeking justice, not revenge. May the God of peace protect us all.

Here are blogs to use for prayer and meditaion.:

Good Night! Get rest! I love you!
Blessings and peace,
Sara
