Part III living out our baptismal vows in this fragile time. Practical things anyone can do and Yes even if you aren't a Christian !

Good Evening Dear Family of Love/ God!

Happy day of Sabbath rest. Last evening we were on our journey into living out our baptismal vows in daily life. Doing so requires courage, grace, broad shoulders, and being willing to truly walk the walk and talk the talk.

The questions contained in the Baptismal Covenant give us a road map! Watch and you'll see how!

Will you continue in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in the
prayers ?
Be the church wherever you are.
Be a sanctuary and ally for someone.
Carry the Good News out into to your community!
Take time to be community and follow the directions in the  Gospels and Acts.
Break Bread together and widen that table to include everyone. Practice CALM (Compassion, Acceptance, Love, and Mercy)
Thanksgiving is coming up,how about inviting multi faith groups to your church  for dinner and fellowship?  Learn about differing foods and customs. Consider having Friday Prayers at your church.
Consider asking your Muslim and Jewish Friends etc. to help out during your holidays so that your parishioners and employees can have time off for worship and family time. If you are Jewish and Muslim consider this as well. Let us help each other out and "Walk each other home"
Become community minded:
Volunteer in Soup Kitchens, Food Pantries, Deliver Meals on Wheels, Feed the Hungry, Clothe the Naked, Welcome the Stranger, Shelter the homeless. Do unto others. Join groups where you share common interests. Donate Blood!
Love Everyone without condition!
See God in Everyone!
Help and protect and keep everyone Safe and unafraid.
Let us help each other out and "Walk each other home"

Will you persevere in resisting evil, and, whenever you fall into sin, repent and return to the Lord?

Do self-examination often.
Learn the art of changing course in your life when you have fallen away, made mistakes, or hurt someone! Learn the art of behavior modification spiritually and mindfully.
Be at  prayer and  and go deeper into your heart homes and spend time in conversation with God.If you wish and you have the opportunity consider going to Confession or Reconciliation of a Penitent. Talk to a counselor or spiritual adviser.
Follow the 10 Commandments as a guide.
Don't let yourself be duped by people or movements who are acting and preaching things that are counter to the Apostle's Teaching and the Way of Jesus. "By their fruits you shall know them"
As The Most Reverend Michael B. Curry has said 'If it isn't about love, it isn't about God!'
Love Everyone without condition!
See God in Everyone!
Do no harm and do not hate!
Help and protect and keep everyone Safe and unafraid.
Let us help each other out and "Walk each other home"

Will you proclaim by word and example the Good News of God in Christ?

Use GPS the Gospel Proclaiming System! Proclaim the Good News boldly and sincerely .
Model Jesus and you won't be lost
Carry the light of the world and the Gospel out into the world. Don't brow beat anyone!
Love Everyone without condition!
See God in Everyone!
Help and protect and keep everyone Safe and unafraid.
Let us help each other out and "Walk each other home"

Will you seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving your neighbor as yourself?
Learn to love yourself  it's the hardest thing you'll ever do but it is worth it. (Hint: self-care)
Get to know your neighbors!
Become community minded:

As you can see the lists are endless and overlap! We really don't need a list or lists at all what we are truly called to do is to Love, be loving, be a soft place in which to fall, comfort and support each other, build bridges,  and see God in each other. Help us to do this with God's Help !

LOVE IS THE ANSWER! LOVE WINS!
