Good Evening Dear Family!
I wanted to talk to you about de-cluttering in the sense that when we do this we do not forget about our loved ones or who they were. We can't hold on to all of their belongings.What we can do is to find creative ways in which to remember. Flash Drives, DVD's Journals, and slide show pictorials might be a way to remember. If you have a large family try doing a rotation of your family's favorite things so that everyone has a chance to be with mom's favorite dishes, Dad's golf clubs etc. I suppose you are wondering what this means spiritually ? Today we celebrated the feast day of Bartolome De Las Casas a missionary priest and defender of the oppressed. He said this :
“God is the one who always remembers those whom history has forgotten.”

Last year we spent time in speaking the names of the Orlando 49, Those killed by acts of violence, The Charleston 9, those who were lynched,etc. Part of de-cluttering allows us to reacquaint ourselves with those special ones who are holy in our lives. Tonight let us remember in our hearts those whom we have forgotten and those with whom we have become estranged. Let us remember precious ones and all the actions throughout history that we must never forget.
Tonight let us take time to find peace by doing our mindfulness time. This might make you sleepy but that may be just what you need. Let's start with our breathing exercises:

Let us pray and remember Bartolome De Las Casas and begin with the collect for his commemoration.
Eternal God, we give you thanks for the witness of Bartolomé de las Casas, whose deep love for your people caused him to refuse absolution to those who would not free their Indian slaves. Help us, inspired by his example, to work and pray for the freeing of all enslaved people of our world, for the sake of Jesus Christ our Redeemer; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

against the godly all day long?

A Prayer attributed to St. Francis

For the Poor and the Neglected
Almighty and most merciful God, we remember before you
all poor and neglected persons whom it would be easy for us
to forget: the homeless and the destitute, the old and the sick,
and all who have none to care for them. Help us to heal those
who are broken in body or spirit, and to turn their sorrow
into joy. Grant this, Father, for the love of your Son, who for
our sake became poor, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
For the Oppressed
Look with pity, O heavenly Father, upon the people in this
land who live with injustice, terror, disease, and death as
their constant companions. Have mercy upon us. Help us to
eliminate our cruelty to these our neighbors. Strengthen those
who spend their lives establishing equal protection of the law
and equal opportunities for all. And grant that every one of
us may enjoy a fair portion of the riches of this land; through
Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
God we pray that we may be united as your children .

God we pray for all of our family members who are estranged one from another.

God may we speak with kind and loving words.
We pray that we may love, God,, all our family members, and ourselves tenderly and with out fear
