Good Evening Dear Family of Love and God.

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone had a wonderful day of Sabbath rest. Today I was the circle keeper at our DOK (Daughters of The King (R) ) prayer meeting. It was a beautiful time of listening and holding space for one another. God truly does equip the called. I'm going to take you through the healing circle. Please consider journaling your responses.


Sometimes we begin by doing a smudging practice:
Let us use our traditional Smudging prayer.

A Smudging Prayer

Creator,

our Father in heaven,

we come to you as your children.

We confess that we are weak and broken images of you.

We pray for the forgiveness and healing you give in Jesus Christ.

May his Spirit clean our spirits, minds, hearts, and bodies.

We pray that your Holy Spirit

will help us to worship in spirit and truth.

We pray in the name of Jesus,

so that his Spirit will carry our prayers to you.

Amen.

Imagine a bell has rung to call us into the healing circle of  love:

Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths 

Another bell is rung and we engage in "The Be Stills"

The Caring Heart

In the circle we have a bowl that represents our holding space for one another and around it there are talking pieces. The person with the Talking Piece is the one who is speaking without interruption.

After they are finished speaking they pass the talking piece and the person may keep the talking piece or exchange it for another.

A Rose and a Thorn:

We got to tell each other what was our rose (positive thing that has happened this day) and (A Thorn a negative thing that happened today) Remember in a circle we do not ping- pong back and forth in a discussion. 

After the Rose and a Thorn Round I asked what was important and again we went around the circle.

We concluded with prayers and an evaluation. 

Now please take out your journals and begin the virtual healing circle. Following this let us be at prayer.

God of all love we come together tonight to accept your call to light our candles and pray. We pray this night to be loving towards one another. We pray this night for guidance in how we can best serve you in the world. We pray that we may be more giving of ourselves to others. We pray that we may be able to be hopeful and hope-filled to this fragile and broken world. We pray that we may shine your light and help people out of the dark places they find themselves in. We pray that we may be supportive in what ever decisions people make,  We pray for the least of these who struggle with the day to day issues of living. We pray that everyone will be lovingly included and not excluded and invisible. We pray that we may be peacemakers and children of God. We pray that we may "Strive for justice, and respect the dignity of every human being"* We pray that we may build bridges and tear down walls. We pray for the courage to speak truth to power. We pray for an end to hatred, violence and terror. We pray that we may use our voices not to hurt but to heal. We pray this night that we all may be one and that we may continue to pray for _____________, and all places where terror and violence have occurred even when the media fails to report it. May we all be one with those who mourn and stand vigil for the peace of the world and in the places where there is danger. God we lift up these prayers to you with hurting hearts, open hands up lifted, with loving care and voices. Amen.

6 They went through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia. ⁷When they had come opposite Mysia, they attempted to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them; ⁸so, passing by Mysia, they went down to Troas. ⁹During the night Paul had a vision: there stood a man of Macedonia pleading with him and saying, ‘Come over to Macedonia and help us.’ ¹⁰When he had seen the vision, we immediately tried to cross over to Macedonia, being convinced that God had called us to proclaim the good news to them.

11 We set sail from Troas and took a straight course to Samothrace, the following day to Neapolis, ¹²and from there to Philippi, which is a leading city of the district^* of Macedonia and a Roman colony. We remained in this city for some days. ¹³On the sabbath day we went outside the gate by the river, where we supposed there was a place of prayer; and we sat down and spoke to the women who had gathered there. ¹⁴A certain woman named Lydia, a worshipper of God, was listening to us; she was from the city of Thyatira and a dealer in purple cloth. The Lord opened her heart to listen eagerly to what was said by Paul. ¹⁵When she and her household were baptized, she urged us, saying, ‘If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come and stay at my home.’ And she prevailed upon us.

10After this the Lord appointed seventy^* others and sent them on ahead of him in pairs to every town and place where he himself intended to go. ²He said to them, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest. ³Go on your way. See, I am sending you out like lambs into the midst of wolves. ⁴Carry no purse, no bag, no sandals; and greet no one on the road. ⁵Whatever house you enter, first say, “Peace to this house!” ⁶And if anyone is there who shares in peace, your peace will rest on that person; but if not, it will return to you. ⁷Remain in the same house, eating and drinking whatever they provide, for the labourer deserves to be paid. Do not move about from house to house.⁸Whenever you enter a town and its people welcome you, eat what is set before you; ⁹cure the sick who are there, and say to them, “The kingdom of God has come near to you.”^* 10But whenever you enter a town and they do not welcome you, go out into its streets and say, ¹¹“Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet, we wipe off in protest against you. 17 The seventy^* returned with joy, saying, ‘Lord, in your name even the demons submit to us!’ ¹⁸He said to them, ‘I watched Satan fall from heaven like a flash of lightning. ¹⁹See, I have given you authority to tread on snakes and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing will hurt you. ²⁰Nevertheless, do not rejoice at this, that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.’

Teach us, Good Lord, to give and not count the cost; to fight and not to heed the wounds; to toil and not to seek for rest; to labor and not to ask for any reward save that of knowing that we do thy will.

God freely created us so that we might know, love, and serve him in this life and be happy with him forever. God's purpose in creating us is to draw forth from us a response of love and service here on earth, so that we may attain our goal of everlasting happiness with him in heaven.

Ubi Caritas

Let us be at prayer and take our time being in conversation and listening with God.

God of Love, we pray this night for all who don't feel your loving arms around them. Help us to love the unloving and wrap our loving arms around them. 

God of Creation, we give thanks to you for all that you have made and may we walk tenderly in God's Cathedral of Life.

God of  Love, we pray for peace in this fragile and broken world. Heal all divisions and  lead us to be peacemakers and  hope bearers.

God of Creation, we pray for rain and an awareness that we are called to be conservationists and stewards of this planet that you called into being.

God of Love, we pray that we all may be lead to full inclusion as Your family Members.

God of Healing, we pray for all our family members both great and small who are ill and seek your healing touch. May they receive your healing and loving grace. 

God of Life, may we take time to live as you would have us do. May we respond to your call and follow you wherever you lead us.

God of all Mercy, we pray for all who are transitioning towards a new live with You in the Thin Places and all who have made the heavenly and joyous journey into eternal life.

God  of  all Gentleness comfort those who mourn and may we we be sources of strength and comfort to them.

God of peace, we pray for all who have been victims, of violence, abuse, and terror.  

Let us beat our swords into ploughshares and spears into pruning hooks and never learn war no more.

God of peace we pray for all children who are in need of protection that they may be safe at home, school, or any place where they play, live, and learn.

God of peace we pray that love, peace, justice, and mercy may prevail upon the earth.

God of Peace we pray for all who commit and are lead to  these terrible acts of violence, abuse, and terror that they may lead away by your holy arms of strength and that they may repent of any wrongdoing.

God of Peace, we pray for all family members who have loved ones who suffer and live with mental illness. We pray that they may receive the help that they need.

God of peace we pray that all towns and cities may be afforded the gift of having facilities for those who have mental illness and mental health  difficulties.

God of peace, we pray for an end to extremism in its many forms May they turn their hearts, minds, and spirits into loving You O God and our Family of God.

God of peace may all the least of these never become driven to commit acts of violence, terror, and abuse because they are lost, lonely, hungry, and homeless.

God of peace we pray for all of our family members who are mourning and deep grief over t the loss of loved ones who were victims of violence and terror.  May we show them love, kindness, and compassion.

God of peace we pray for all who travel that they may be safely lead to their destination and and back home.

God of peace we pray for all of our family members who are ill and especially those who are living with chronic illness. We pray that all the medical teams may get a handle on these scary illnesses. We pray for an end to all diseases that wreak havoc and cause fear.

Holy God, you are our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble.

God  of peace we lay down our burdens this night as we offer these our prayers and those on  behalf of others in the Name of Jesus Your Son. Amen.
