Happy Take Care Tuesday! I'm doing just that after a long afternoon at the Faith Factory. Lots of cold lonely, and sad guests at the window today because of the rain, and also our city has become less humane int its treatment of our family members who are the least of these ! This nothing new under the sun but these days it all the more tragic and maddening ! In the story of the paralytic who was healed on the Sabbath we see how the officials took a very dim view of this. Jesus has given us many gifts and the one gift we take for granted is the permission to leave our boxes, mats, and to color outside the lines. to care for the least of these and all of God's beloved Family members throughout the world. Jesus knew what was needed and when it needed to be done. We see how Jesus was constantly upsetting establishment apple cart after establisment apple cart. Do you think we as the Beloved Communiity can do this on a daily basis? Where are you/ we the spectrum of upsetting the establishment apple cart? How do you /we feel knowing that God, Jesus, and Pneuma are giving us permission to leave our boxes, mats, and to color outside the lines? These are tonight's ponderings.
I know there are quite a lot of readings today but, they have quite a lot to say at the heart home level.

Creator,
our Father in heaven,
we come to you as your children.

We give thanks for your healing whenever it comes to us. Help us to accept your healing in your Kairos time. May we with courage take up our pallets, mats, get out of our boxes, and draw outside the lines in order to set our feet upon holy ground and follow you. Amen.

We give thanks to you lord Jesus for being the Good Shepherd and providing a good example for us all. Help us to hear your voice and know what your voice sounds like. The Parable of the Dishonest Manager
Then Jesus said to the disciples, ‘There was a rich man who had a manager, and charges were brought to him that this man was squandering his property. So he summoned him and said to him, “What is this that I hear about you? Give me an account of your management, because you cannot be my manager any longer.” Then the manager said to himself, “What will I do, now that my master is taking the position away from me? I am not strong enough to dig, and I am ashamed to beg.I have decided what to do so that, when I am dismissed as manager, people may welcome me into their homes.” So, summoning his master’s debtors one by one, he asked the first, “How much do you owe my master?” He answered, “A hundred jugs of olive oil.” He said to him, “Take your bill, sit down quickly, and make it fifty.” Then he asked another, “And how much do you owe?” He replied, “A hundred containers of wheat.” He said to him, “Take your bill and make it eighty.” And his master commended the dishonest manager because he had acted shrewdly; for the children of this age are more shrewd in dealing with their own generation than are the children of light. The Law and the Kingdom of God
The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, heard all this, and they ridiculed him. So he said to them, ‘You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of others; but God knows your hearts; for what is prized by human beings is an abomination in the sight of God.
‘The law and the prophets were in effect until John came; since then the good news of the kingdom of God is proclaimed, and everyone tries to enter it by force. But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away, than for one stroke of a letter in the law to be dropped.
‘Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and whoever marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery.

God, Jesus, and Pneuma help us we pray to spend time in prayer and study as we go forth in love to serve and spread the Good News to all. Help us to not clobber your children with the Bible but be living Bibles that are easily read by our actions and CALM (Compassionate, accepting,loving, and merciful) examples. Amen.

Give us courage to love all of our family members of differing faiths and may we know that Moses, Jesus, Mohammed, and the Buddha walk with us in love and familyhood.
We want God the Creator who made us all to walk with us on our journey.
Lord God we know that you walk with us everyday that we live and in the Thin Places. Help us to know and feel your presence every minute with every breath we breathe, we know that You are the Living Water that courses through our veins, enlivening our Spirits, quickening our steps and expanding and tenderizing our hearts to do your will in your service and in service to others. Amen.

You’re Blessed
5 1-2 When Jesus saw his ministry drawing huge crowds, he climbed a hillside. Those who were apprenticed to him, the committed, climbed with him. Arriving at a quiet place, he sat down and taught his climbing companions. This is what he said:
3 “You’re blessed when you’re at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and his rule.
4 “You’re blessed when you feel you’ve lost what is most dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the One most dear to you.
5 “You’re blessed when you’re content with just who you are—no more, no less. That’s the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can’t be bought.
6 “You’re blessed when you’ve worked up a good appetite for God. He’s food and drink in the best meal you’ll ever eat.
7 “You’re blessed when you care. At the moment of being ‘care-full,’ you find yourselves cared for.
8 “You’re blessed when you get your inside world—your mind and heart—put right. Then you can see God in the outside world.
9 “You’re blessed when you can show people how to cooperate instead of compete or fight. That’s when you discover who you really are, and your place in God’s family.
10 “You’re blessed when your commitment to God provokes persecution. The persecution drives you even deeper into God’s kingdom.
11-12 “Not only that—count yourselves blessed every time people put you down or throw you out or speak lies about you to discredit me. What it means is that the truth is too close for comfort and they are uncomfortable. You can be glad when that happens—give a cheer, even!—for though they don’t like it, I do! And all heaven applauds. And know that you are in good company. My prophets and witnesses have always gotten into this kind of trouble.
