Happy Easter! We have an entire season to celebrate. Yesterday was both a day of celebration and Sabbath. My life at St. Peter's Episcopal Church for the past few days was glorious and also a time of being reacquainted with acolyte duties after a pandemic pause. Wow ! I still remembered how! After church yesterday I came into the office and discovered just how tired I was and needed to take sabbath. I knew that we'd be together today! Our Metta Monday of Easter. Today's readings are about the various witnesses of what happened post-resurrection. Where do you find yourselves in the story? The Gospel from Matthew is one that I'd like us all to meditate upon. Lovingkindness (Metta) Prayer
May "all beings" be happy, healthy and whole.
May they have love, warmth and affection.

May that peace expand into their world and throughout the entire universe.
This prayer is traditionally done for successively wider circles of caring, with “all beings”replaced appropriately. The first round would be for yourself, then those closest to you, then those who you feel neutral toward, then those with whom you have difficulties, and continuing outward until it includes all beings.
