Good Early Evening Beloved Ones!
Today is Holy Saturday! This is a time where we are taking a sacred pause between Good Friday and The Feast of the Resurrection. It is a good time to reflect and spend time in quiet. This is a period of waiting or a one day of Advent. For many years we have done the Great vigil but this year we take time with the liturgy for Holy Saturday. Sometimes too much goop is just that, too much goop. Tonight please turn on your porch lights or light a candle. Start y/our prayer time with "The Be Stills"and then enter into our time of prayer and vigil together.

A Smudging Prayer
Creator,
our Father in heaven,
we come to you as your children.
We confess that we are weak and broken images of you.
We pray for the forgiveness and healing you give in Jesus Christ.
May his Spirit clean our spirits, minds, hearts, and bodies.
We pray that your Holy Spirit
will help us to worship in spirit and truth.
We pray in the name of Jesus,
so that his Spirit will carry our prayers to you.
Amen.

1 Peter 4:1-8

We remember, O God,
the grief of the disciples when Jesus died.
Lead us beyond our fear of death
to the joyful knowledge of eternal life
in him who lives for ever.
Eternal God, give us a sure and certain trust
for those who are with Christ.
When our loved ones come to die,
beyond our sorrow,
grant us confidence and hope.
Grant O God,
that we who are baptised into the death
of your Son Jesus Christ,
may continually die to sin
and be buried with him,
that through the grave and gate of death
we may pass to our joyful resurrection;
