Epiphanies both small and great! A ha moments that connect us to the holy #SanctuariesComeInAllShapesSizesVenues

Good Evening Dear Family of Love and Pilgrims on Our Journey!

Happy Take Care Tuesday! I hope you all are seeking, finding, and experiencing more holy a ha moments as the days go by. Today I went down to the church and handed out the lunches to our family members at the window. Every time I am present in God's sanctuary and it doesn't matter if it as church building, outdoors, in my home, or just sitting and relaxing I find that is where God is and we are: Today's hashtag is #SanctuariesComeInAllShapesSizesVenues. Our lives are meant to be places of sanctuary. If we cannot find God in the mud, the ivory tower, the grocery store, the faces of our brothers and sisters, or  in the Words of St. John Chrysostom "If you cannot find Christ in the beggar at the church door, you will not find Him in the chalice." Maybe I can say it more plainly God has created each of us to live in this world as if it were a holy place of sanctuary. Each day when God created each aspect of the universe etc., he called it "Good"  Good = Holy and pleasing. So yest my dear ones how is your time of finding sanctuary coming along? Is your heart home the red doors to your life and soul? Think on these things and spend some quality quiet time in prayer, meditation, and reading the scriptures on William Laud today.

God of all and not some, we come to you this night and always asking your help that we might find sanctuary in our hearts, lives, homes, and wherever we may be, and throughout the world. Help us tonight to make vigil, pray, light candles and center ourselves with you as living sanctuaries of your presence and with CALM (Compassion, Acceptance, Love, and Mercy) Make our heart homes forever growing and tenderized so that we may see you in all that you created and that we may love you, our neighbors, enemies, and ourselves without condition but fully and freely without fear.

With you, O Lord, is the well of life, *

and in your light we see light.

With you, O Lord, is the well of life,

and in your light we see light.

Your love, O Lord, reaches to the heavens,

and your faithfulness to the clouds:

And in your light we see light.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.

With you, O Lord, is the well of life,

and in your light we see light
.
V. Abide with us, O Lord:

R. For it is toward evening.

O Gracious Light Phos hilaron

O gracious Light,

pure brightness of the everliving Father in heaven,
O Jesus Christ, holy and blessed!
Now as we come to the setting of the sun,
and our eyes behold the vesper light,
we sing thy praises, O God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Thou art worthy at all times to be praised by happy voices,
O Son of God, O Giver of life,

and to be glorified through all the worlds.

Psalm 73:24-29

Quam bonus Israel!
24 You will guide me by your counsel, *
and afterwards receive me with glory.
25 Whom have I in heaven but you? *
and having you I desire nothing upon earth.
26 Though my flesh and my heart should waste away, *
God is the strength of my heart and my portion for ever.
27 Truly, those who forsake you will perish; *
you destroy all who are unfaithful.
28 But it is good for me to be near God; *
I have made the Lord God my refuge.
29 I will speak of all your works *
in the gates of the city of Zion

Isaiah 6:1-8

In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lofty; and the hem of his robe filled the temple. Seraphs were in attendance above him; each had six wings: with two they covered their faces, and with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew. And one called to another and said:
"Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts;
the whole earth is full of his glory."
The pivots on the thresholds shook at the voices of those who called, and the house filled with smoke. And I said: "Woe is me! I am lost, for I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips; yet my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts!"
Then one of the seraphs flew to me, holding a live coal that had been taken from the altar with a pair of tongs. The seraph touched my mouth with it and said: "Now that this has touched your lips, your guilt has departed and your sin is blotted out." Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I; send me!"

The Song of Mary Magnificat
Luke 1:46-55
My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in God my Savior; *
for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant
From this day all generations will call me blessed: *
the Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his Name.
He has mercy on those who fear him *
in every generation.
He has shown the strength of his arm, *
he has scattered the proud in their conceit.
He has cast down the mighty from their thrones, *
and has lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things, *
and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of his servant Israel, *
for he has remembered his promise of mercy,
The promise he made to our fathers, *
to Abraham and his children for ever.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: *
as It was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever. Amen.

Hebrews 12:5-7, 11-14

And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as children—
‘My child, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord,
 or lose heart when you are punished by him;
for the Lord disciplines those whom he loves,
and chastises every child whom he accepts.’
Endure trials for the sake of discipline. God is treating you as children; for what child is there whom a parent does not discipline? Now, discipline always seems painful rather than pleasant at the time, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint, but rather be healed.

Canticle 18
A Song to the Lamb Dignus es
Revelation 4:11; 5:9-10, 13
Splendor and honor and kingly power *
are yours by right, O Lord our God,
For you created everything that is, *
and by your will they were created and have their being;
And yours by right, O Lamb that was slain, *
for with your blood you have redeemed for God,
From every family, language, people, and nation, *
a kingdom of priests to serve our God.
And so, to him who sits upon the throne, *
and to Christ the Lamb,
Be worship and praise, dominion and splendor, *
for ever and for evermore.

Matthew 10:32-39

Jesus said, “Everyone therefore who acknowledges me before others, I also will acknowledge before my Father in heaven; but whoever denies me before others, I also will deny before my Father in heaven.
“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
For I have come to set a man against his father,
and a daughter against her mother,
and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law;
and one’s foes will be members of one’s own household.
Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; and whoever does not take up the cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Those who find their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will find it."

Prayers for the day!

Keep us, O Lord, constant in faith and zealous in witness, that, like your servant William Laud, we may live in your fear, die in your favor, and rest in your peace; for the sake of Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Let us pray the prayer of St. Francis of Assisi

Lord, make us instruments of your peace. Where there is
hatred, let us sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where
there is discord, union; where there is doubt, faith; where
there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where
there is sadness, joy. Grant that we may not so much seek to
be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is
in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we
are born to eternal life. Amen.
