A Monday Evening Retreat! Time to get rid of new anxieties with prayer and relaxation.

Good Evening!

Happy You Matter Monday and our first ever Monday Mini Retreat! Yes dear ones we need to begin the week in silence to rid ourselves of anxieties and yes any of the things that we normally place in the Worry/ Sabbath box.

Let us clear our minds, hearts, souls, physical selves, and home environments with noise and sound junk.

Please place your do not disturb signs up.

Turn off unnecessary lighting.

Keep a glass of water or tea nearby to keep you well hydrated and peaceful.

Let's engage in the Be Stills!

Be still and know that I am God.
Be still and know that I am.
Be still and know.
Be still.
Be.

Breathe deeply, slowly, releasing tension from your lungs as you exhale.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

Now clear your minds by sitting comfortably and finding your place at the center as you find as word, or scene that you may focus upon.

Begin relaxing each muscle group in your body from the bottoms of your feet to the top of your head by tensing and releasing every group. Breathe in between.

If you are now ready let us begin to make prayer vigil by lighting our virtual candles.

Now let us light our candles and settle into our Virtual Candlelight Prayer Vigils: Tonight let us pray for the leaders of our country and that we may learn to love one another no matter who we are and where we are from. Let us pray that we may have Love Energy to carry God's Good News of Love to all the world. Let us light our candles and be at prayer.

Holy God,as we pray and light more candles let us pray that we may truly and fully become the loving Family of God. God we know that it is time. We know that this journey into family hood won't be easy but we must take time to lay down our, rage, fear, anger, suspicion, hatred, bigotry, terror, and all that seeks to divide us. Give us we pray courage to learn to love one another as Jesus first loved us. Help us we pray to realize that we are one family and that whatever our race, color, creed, gender, and sexual orientation may be we are made in your image and likeness O, God. Tonight we pray for safety in our cities, towns, counties, states, and nations. We pray for all of our family members nearby and far away who have been affected by violence, abuse, bullying, and degradation this day. We pray for their safety and that you'll wrap your loving and holy arms of protection around them. We pray for the least of these who lack clean water, safe and permanent shelter, nourishing food, and warm clothing. Help us to walk the walk and talk the talk and spread your Gospel of Love to this fragile and broken world. Let us be CALM (Compassionate, Accepting, Loving, and Merciful) people this night and forever more. Amen.

Let us pray that we all may be well and healthy in body, mind and spirit!

God and giver of life and health return our bodies, minds, and spirits to wholeness and may we be healed of any and all illness.
May we all be well and healthy in body, mind, and spirit.

God and giver of life and health return our country and the nations of the world to the state of peace and unity so that we all may be one with you O God.
May we all be well and healthy in body, mind, and spirit.

God and giver of life and health we pray for all who are our most vulnerable family members who are homeless, hungry, and ill-clad. We pray that they may be safe from the elements tonight.
May we all be all be well and healthy in body, mind, and spirit.

God and giver of life and health we pray for all who are dying and who have died this day that they leave this world in joy, warmth, and in your loving and sustaining arms.
May we all see death as the return to our souls to the stars and Thin Places. and be truly well and healthy in body, mind, and spirit.

God and giver of life and health we pray especially for_________________________
Mat we all be well and healthy in body, mind, and spirit.

God and giver of life and health we pray and give thanks for your Love and mercy that sustains us each nano-second that we live, move

God and give of life and health sustain and give respite to all caregivers that they may not be afflicted with great stress and illness.
May we all be well and healthy, in body, mind, and spirit.

Jesus as you are the Great and Glorious Physician we offer these our prayers in your most holy name. Amen.

P.S. Here is the info from yesterday's I Thrive that I couldn't access!

Day 3

Another potential source of noise pollution is actually people. We realize that it’s not possible to just stop talking to people but perhaps there are ways to cut down on unnecessary “noisy” conversations. Maybe it means taking a break from lengthy phone conversations or idle chatter with a co-worker. Without being rude, find ways to excuse yourself from idle conversations. Take the time to listen instead to the sound of silence. With attention, you can actually hear silence. Curious? Give this a try today!
Just a heads up that on Day 4, we’d like you to pick a quiet spot outside and observe silence in nature. So give some thought as to where you may be able to go to enjoy the sounds of silence outdoors.
