Embracing one another as family members of God.

Good Evening!

Happy Take Care Tuesday!  I hope we did just that. This week we will have two stories from the window but not tonight . This may sound as a rant but it isn't meant to be. It is a cry to God and to each other and our family members around the world. It's time to lay down the weaponry of hatred in all of its forms. Hateful isn't what God has called us to be. God has called us to be Loving and all embracing. We are one big family that needs each other. At such a time as this we see hatred being spewed all over, and the scariest one was the situation where death threats have been lodged against the Islamic Center of Southern California. Terrorism comes in all forms and we must begin to realize that terrorism is terrorism and it doesn't matter if it is verbal or weaponized. The weaponry of hate has no place int this world and must be muted and disarmed. When hate infects the spirits of God's children, God's family unit has become severely compromised. Because we have become compromised,  we cannot practice the CALM principle where we need to be Compassionate, Accepting, Loving, and Merciful. Tonight while we are in a holy times of silence and musical tunes, we need to begin visualizing ourselves as in a wholly and holy embrace. These are tender times dear ones and to do anything less would be unacceptable.

Let us meditate upon the words of this old hymn.

In Christ There is No East or West (McKee)

In Christ there is no East or West,
in him no South or North,
but one great fellowship of love
throughout the whole wide earth.

In him shall true hearts everywhere
their high communion find,
his service is the golden cord
close-binding all mankind.

Join hands, disciples of the faith,
whate'er your race may be!
Who serves my Father as a son
is surely kin to me.

In Christ now meet both East and West,
in him meet South and North,
all Christly souls are one in him,
throughout the whole wide earth.

Words: John Oxenham, 1908

Listen to the hymn tune too!

Remember this one?

Words and music say things better than I can. I hope you can see where I am going with this. We need to come together and unite as the family members of God.

Take time to meditate upon one of these picture!

Let u light our candles and be at prayer.

God of many names we come to you seeking unity, peace, and understanding. Help us we pray to embrace one another as your holy children who have been made in your image and likeness. Take away from us any thought, word, or deed that seeks to divide us one from another and You  O God. We pray this night for an end to all terrorists acts and those that are being planned. We pray that those who are contemplating such acts may be prevented from doing so and that they may feel your not so gentle tap on their shoulder as a reminder of what they shouldn't be doing.  God may we join our hands together in compassion, acceptance, love, and mercy and that we may encircle this fragile nation and world with your light and love as we pray and seek to serve you at all times and the places where you send us. Amen.

Now let us sing this song!

Mystery song II

Now listen again and pray!

He's Got the Whole World

Let us now quiet our spirits!

Ubi Caritas

God help us to be united in love as your beloved children.

"Where true charity is, there is God."

God  help and teach us to be peacemakers.

"Where Charity and Love Prevail",

God help us to help you end the cycle of violence and turn our hearts towards you in compassion, acceptance, love, and mercy.

"Where true charity is, there is God."

God give us the strength and courage to stand with the voiceless ones and those who are facing times of being under siege and threat.

"Where Charity and Love Prevail",

God help us to care for all of your dear children and especially the least of these who are looking for help, a soft place in which to fall.

"Where true charity is, there is God."

God heal all those who are ill in body, mind, and spirit! We remember especially______________

Where Charity and Love Prevail"

Where charity and love are, God is there.
Christ's love has gathered us into one.
Let us rejoice and be pleased in Him.
Let us fear, and let us love the living God.
And may we love each other with a sincere heart.
Where charity and love are, God is there.
As we are gathered into one body,
Beware, lest we be divided in mind.
Let evil impulses stop, let controversy cease,
And may Christ our God be in our midst.
Where charity and love are, God is there.
And may we with the saints also,
See Thy face in glory, O Christ our God:
The joy that is immense and good,
Unto the ages through infinite ages. Amen.

Ubi Caritas
