Good Evening Dearly Loved Family!
I have returned from another Peace Vigil and I am feeling energized with love energy while at the same time feeling my heart break to see our family members through out our nation and the world struggling with being victims of hatred, bigotry, and discrimination. I believe that it is time to speak out and use every non-violent tool at our disposal to stop the hate, rhetoric, and acts that are causing harm and disunity. We must act ! If we are silent we are complicit! Silently aiding and abetting hatemongers only makes things much worse gives rise to fear, suspicion, and violence. So tonight in the silence of our heart homes let us pledge to speak out and atone for any racist, bigoted, and acts of hatred we may have been complicit in. Tonight we will begin with our smudging prayer. Our lessons will be for Social Justice. A year ago we began our Social Justice Campaign. A Smudging Prayer
Creator, our Father in heaven, we come to you as your children. We confess that we are weak and broken images of you. We pray for the forgiveness and healing you give in Jesus Christ. May his Spirit clean our spirits, minds, hearts, and bodies. We pray that your Holy Spirit will help us to worship in spirit and truth. We pray in the name of Jesus, so that his Spirit will carry our prayers to you. Amen.
Let us in the silence of our hearts bring forward all the worries, anger, fears, etc and place them in the Worry/ Sabbath Box so that we may clear our minds, spirits, and hearts to ready ourselves for our time of retreat.
Let us meet in the circle of love.
Let us light our candles and be together in the circle of familyhood, love, and light.
