Don't Miss a chance to use your prayers as a way to say I love you! Our Season of Prayer continues!

Happy Self-Care Saturday Dear Ones!

Tonight I'm preparing to go down for a day trip to Los Angeles for the memorial service of my mother's college roommate Ruth Nicastro tomorrow. She died  the day after Easter and I haven't wanted to share this news with you because, it seems as though death or the "D" word hasn't been a good subject for conversation these days and especially with all the acts of terror.  Yes, I have been keeping my sorrows to myself but that's ok we all handle our griefs differently at different occasions. This was one of them. Today as I was sitting and sifting through the posts on FB and Twitter I was reminded yet again that everyone is going through some kind of bad spell or other. I was reminded too that life is precious and that means we must tell our family members that we love them. One of the ways we can do this is by praying. Don't miss a chance to use your prayers and positive energy as a way to say I love you. Sounds easy enough but often times it is hard to pray for a family who may or may not deserve it. But pray we must, love we must, care we must, and be CALM ( Compassionate, Accepting, Loving and Merciful) we must. There isn't any trying only doing.

Tonight let us use our prayers to say I love you!

God is Love and where true love is,God himself is there!
God is Love and where true love is God himself is.
God is Love and where true love is God
God is Love and where true love is.
God is Love

Be still and know that God is Love.
Be still and know that God is.
Be still and know.
Be still.
Be

Gracious and Loving God, As we light our candles tonight help us to see our prayers as a way to tell you and our family members that we love them. Help us to pray with kind thoughts and actions. Give us strength and courage to be loving family members one to another. Help us to seek out ways to love one another with out words but in deeds. We pray for the people of Japan, Ecuador, Burundi, Central America the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Syria, and the 140 who were killed in Ethiopia near the South Sudan Border. We pray for an end to senseless violence and those who have been killed on the roadways.  We pray this night for all faith communities who will be worshiping tomorrow and for the clergy who will be sharing the Good News. May we share the Good News every place that we go and be loving to those who need to hear Jesus' loving words. Help us we pray to be living bibles to a fragil and broken world and shine the light of Christ and know that God is Love and Where true Love is God Himself is there.

Gracious God We thank you for:

You and that you created us in love and in your image and likeness.

Your mercy and giving us many second and beyond chances to start over.

Courage and resiliency that make us stronger and able to meet the challenges of life.

For all things that are living from the largest Sequoia to the tiniest microbe.

For all of our family members nearby and far away.

For all the abundance that You give us each and every day.

For minds to think and the courage and drive to think outside the box.

For our enemies and haters that give us the resolve to love and care more fervently and more lovingly.

For illnesses that allow us to become authentically ourselves with greater peace of mind.

For our loved ones who now reside in the Thin Places in eternal Joy.

For our many mentors who have helped us on our life's journey.

For care givers who take time to care and may we remember and give thanks for all of us who are care givers. .

For making all of us your children so that we may be made peacemakers.

Gracious God we Thank you for Everything and yes even your and life's interruptions ! It's a good thing God for you are good ! All the time.

We thank you Jesus and we say and pray  Amen.
