Your prayers are very important to God! Please stay on the prayer line ......... Our season of prayer continues!

Good Evening Dear Ones!

Happy Being Thoughtful and Thankful Thursday! Wow this week is speeding by! I hope all is well with you and your family.  I'm sorry I'm running a tad bit late ! I have been working on our parish newsletter and put it to bed a little while ago. I'm always grateful to you for your patience. When we are engaged in the spiritual life we must be patient and learn that we often our prayers may be answered in ways that we may or may not like. I know it always seems like these phrases we see and hear everyday:

Please stay on the line, your call is very important to us.

Your call is very important to us and will be answered in the order in which it was received.

Please take a number.

Because of a high call volume your estimated wait time is.......

If you cannot wait please go online to..... www.xyz.com and find the information.

Sound familiar? We may feel this way when we are praying too. We must remember praying is part of our relationship with God and we don't get to go pushy and gimme, gimme, gimme asking God for things. The best way to master this type of thing is our striving to be patient and learn how to wait by centering ourselves and going deeper. Prayer takes holy listening and developing a holy relationship with God.  God doesn't want us to be in a hurry with our prayers and also waiting for an answer. Sometimes the answers come in ways we least expect them. So dear ones we pray and yes we wait and at the same time we serve God while we wait. Dear ones it is time to be at the business of prayer and having our daily chat with God. Your prayers are very important to God! Please stay on the prayer line and listen to God at your heart home level while you wait.

Let us begin!

Be Still and Know that I am God.
Be Still and Know.
Be Still.
Be.

Be Still and Know that I am God.
Be Still and Know.
Be Still.
Be.

Be Still and Know that I am God.
Be Still and Know.
Be Still.
Be.

God as we light our candles and pray let us take time to listen to your voice in the stillness of our hearts and at the heart home level. Help us not to be filled with anxiety and fear this night and that we may rest gentle in your loving arms. We pray for all of our family members who are dealing with any kind of insecurity and mental illness. Help us to know how to care for them when we may not know how to do it. We pray for all caregivers and give thanks to you O God for being the greatest caregiver of them all. We pray for peace, love, joy, and hope to reign in this fragile and broken world. Help us to learn to listen to all of our family members with  hearts and minds filled with love and patience and without an agenda based on fear. We pray for an end to hatred, fear, anxiety, and violence. May we become united in Compassion, united in Acceptance, united in Love, and united in Mercy. We especially pray this night for all of our family members who are grieving the loss of loved ones.
As we light our candles and let them burn may we say these words as we always do "The Light of Christ in me, recognizes the light of Christ in you!

Lord we pray for all of our homeless family members who are forced to live without shelter this night.
Warm them O Lord and help us to respond to their needs.

Lord we pray for all of our family members who are caregivers.
Help us to respond and give them respite and a soft place to fall.

Lord we pray for all who travel by car, plane, train, or by sea.
Keep them safe and alert.

Lord we pray for all teachers who are stressed by this time of year.
Give them patience and surround them with your grace.

Lord we pray for all children especially those who are ill.
Give them comfort and help their parents parent wisely and with courage.

Lord we pray that we may lay down all our unnecessary burdens and anxieties.
Help us to "consider the lilies and not to be anxious"

Lord give us joyful and thankful hearts so that we may be beacons of hope.
Let your light shine through us so that they may feel your presence by being present.

Lord be with all those who have mental illness or special needs this time of year.
Keep us mindful of their struggles.

Lord we pray for_____________
Lord hear our petitions offered with love and humble hearts.

Lord we give thanks for_________________________
Lord hear our thanksgivings with uplifted hands, hearts, and voices.

Lord we pray for all those who have entered the Thin Places today and in the past.
May we name them as a continuing celebration of their lives with you____________________________

For all those who we have been asked to pray for, we name them before you as a sign that they matter to us__________________________. Love them, comfort them, and heal them  O Lord.

We pray for those who have been bullied or abused. Lord we need not name them because you know who they are. Help us to love, support, and defend them.

We pray for all of our family members in cyberspace that they may feel loved and supported. Protect them from hate and cyber bullying Lord.

We pray for our family members on our journey that they may continue to walk with us on our journey. We pray that they are well and know that we love them.

For all of those in our faith families in our parishes and in our community.

We pray for all those who lead churches, synagogues, temples, and mosques.
Help us to recognize that you created all of these children too with love and in your image.

Dear Lord we thank you for this time of praying in place and know that you are always with us and acting on our prayer requests in your time not ours. Help us to have patience and calm spirits as we wait.

Dear Lord continue to enliven our spirits, quicken our steps, expand and tenderize our hearts, and may we feel the Water of Life coursing through our veins. All this we ask in the name of God who is hope, peace, joy, and love. Amen.
All this we ask today in the Name of God the Creator, Redeemer, and Sanctifier. Amen.

Good Night Dear Ones! Have a blessed and restful night! I love you and give thanks to God for you always.

With Love and Blessings!
