Good Evening Dear Ones!
I hope all is well. Today, I'm a little bit perplexed on how we have allowed it to be okay to use ethnic and any kind of slur towards people. I am not happy when I see our leaders do it on a regular basis. It goes against everything I have been taught by my elders. My Grandmother Lorena Searl told me "Sara don't antagonize people", a little book I received at my confirmation THE PRACTICE OF RELIGION contains this quote""Thoughts breed deeds, deeds breed habits, habits form character and character makes man!" Today we need to remember that how we treat people is the measure of how we will be treated in return. Do unto others! This means using Compassion, Acceptance, Love, and Mercy. We in the Episcopal Church in our Baptismal covenant we are asked this question:
Will you strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being?

A Smudging Prayer
Creator,
our Father in heaven,
we come to you as your children.
We confess that we are weak and broken images of you.
We pray for the forgiveness and healing you give in Jesus Christ.

Love for Enemies

Judging Others
37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven; 38 give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back.”
39 He also told them a parable: “Can a blind person guide a blind person? Will not both fall into a pit? 40 A disciple is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully qualified will be like the teacher. 41 Why do you see the speck in your neighbor’s[f] eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye? 42 Or how can you say to your neighbor,[g] ‘Friend,[h] let me take out the speck in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the log in your own eye? A Tree and Its Fruit

We pray for all the refugees that are in need of homes and understanding. Enfold them all with your loving presence and that they may be patient as they await resettlement.
We pray for all aid agencies who are helping our family members who do not have places to call home especially the homeless, hungry and ill clad in our midst.
We pray for all of our family members who know only hate and disunity that they may have their hearts tenderized and come to know that love is truly answer to being one with each other on life's journey.
