A Thanksgiving Greeting!

Dear Family of Love,

I don't have anything profound to say on this the eve of Thanksgiving and Being Thoughtful and Thankful Thursday except for this for tonight's virtual Candlelight Vigil;

Light a candle, say a prayer! Remember God is always there. So this night this holy light may illumine all your blessings bright. Sit and pray and let God's light show you the way to a worry free Thanksgiving day.

These are my words to you near and far that you know that I love you just as clear as the night stars.
I give thanks to God for you all the day through and hope you know that my prayers will see you thought.  Remember this hymn and not her for these old words will make your heart stir.

Now Thank We All Our God

And just for good measure here are a few things from last year that we have found in our blog's wonderful treasure:

What I am Thankful For

With lots of love from me to you and yours!

Extra prayers!

A Prayer attributed to St. Francis
Lord, make us instruments of your peace. Where there is
hatred, let us sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where
there is discord, union; where there is doubt, faith; where
there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where
there is sadness, joy. Grant that we may not so much seek to
be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is
in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we
are born to eternal life. Amen.

A Litany of Thanksgiving (From The Book of Common Prayer)

Let us give thanks to God our Father for all his gifts so
freely bestowed upon us.

For the beauty and wonder of your creation, in earth and
sky and sea,
We thank you, Lord.

For all that is gracious in the lives of men and women,
revealing the image of Christ,
We thank you, Lord.

For our daily food and drink, our homes and families, and
our friends,
We thank you, Lord.

For minds to think, and hearts to love, and hands to serve,
We thank you, Lord.

For health and strength to work, and leisure to rest and play,
We thank you, Lord.

For the brave and courageous, who are patient in suffering
and faithful in adversity,
We thank you, Lord.

For all valiant seekers after truth, liberty, and justice,
We thank you, Lord.

For the communion of saints, in all times and places,
We thank you, Lord.

Above all, we give you thanks for the great mercies and
promises given to us in Christ Jesus our Lord;
To him be praise and glory, with you, O Father, and the
Holy Spirit, now and for ever. Amen.
