Good Evening Dear Family of Love and God!
Happy Take Care Tuesday! What do you hunger for? The answers may be many. Take time tonight to ponder this question. When Jesus was in the wilderness 40 days and 40 nights he was fasting! Could you fast this length of time? Do you think you could go without something for awhile? Another few posers to ponder. I am going without TV and that is truly amazing that I can do this and yes even without music. Self -denial and self- emptying is necessary this Lent because it reminds us to go deeper than just giving up chocolate or something so easy that it wasn't really a challenge.
For our time together tonight we are going to use the same format as last evening. So let us begin!

Dear Ones as we light our candles and be at prayer for our nightly Virtual Candlelight Prayer Vigil let us be mindful of those who are hungry in body, mind, and spirit. Let us be mindful of those who are lacking safe food clothing, and shelter. Let us be mindful and prayerful and ask God to show us how to serve and care for the least of these. Let us never take our lives for granted and remember that we may indeed may become the least of these. Some of us already are.
A Song of the Wilderness
Isaiah 35:1-7,10
The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad, *
the desert shall rejoice and blossom;
It shall blossom abundantly, *
and rejoice with joy and singing.
They shall see the glory of the Lord, *
the majesty of our God.

Almighty God our heavenly Father, guide the nations of the world nto the way of justice and truth, and establish among them that peace which is the fruit of righteousness, that they may become the kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen

the one who is coming will come and will not delay;
38 but my righteous one will live by faith.
My soul takes no pleasure in anyone who shrinks back.’
39But we are not among those who shrink back and so are lost, but among those who have faith and so are saved.

9 ‘Then they will hand you over to be tortured and will put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of my name. 10 Then many will fall away,* and they will betray one another and hate one another. 11And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. 12 And because of the increase of lawlessness, the love of many will grow cold. 13But anyone who endures to the end will be saved. 14 And this good news* of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the world, as a testimony to all the nations; and then the end will come.
