The Faces of God's Family Today at the window reminded me It's not the possessions that make us who we are, it is God alone who does this.

Good Evening Dear Family of God and Love,

Happy Take Care Tuesday! Today I took a break from De-Cluttering but, I will be back tomorrow sometime. It was my day to serve God at the Faith Factory.  Seeing the faces of God's family today was very emotional because. I realized we all could be one step away from being on the streets and struggling for food, shelter, clothing, and compassion. This is why de-cluttering is so important. We have so much in our possessions that we need to share them, not become attached to them, and for God's sake don't make an idol out of them because you think just by adding one more book, cross, CD, Blu-ray, digital device you won't be lonely and they will solve all of your problems mentally and or spiritually. Possessions don't do this, they accumulate and God isn't in the machinery or there in one's  possessions. God is right here in our heart homes. When you see a poor person with a backpack, shopping cart, or wagon, etc., remember and see God and know that possessions do not make us who we are it is God alone who does this. So my brothers and sisters let us meet together as is our custom and pray and meditate upon God's Word and spend time in holy silence before the God our Maker, Jesus our Redeemer, and The Holy Spirit our Advocate and Guide.

Tonight we are going to use the phrase "Be Still and Know... " in a few different ways to help us journey to the center of our inner being as we journey to our heart homes.

Be Still and  Know that I am God
Be Still and know.
Be Still
Be

Be Still and know that I am God's Child
Be Still and know that I am God's
Be Still and know
Be Still

Be Still and Know that I am God's Neighbor
Be Still and Know

Be

Be Still and know that my neighbor loves me
Be Still and know that my neighbor loves
Be Still and know

Be still and know that I am a member of the Family of God
Be still and know that I am a member of the Family
Be still and know that I am a member
Be still and know that I am
Be still and know
Be still

Be still and know that I love God, My Neighbor, Myself
Be still and know that I love Myself
Be still and know that I love My Neighbor
Be still and know that I love God
Be still and know that I love
Be still and know
Be still
Be

Be still and know that we live in God's Cathedral of life
Be still and know that we live in God
Be still and know that we live
Be still and know
Be still

Now let us listen to Be thou my Vision

Be still and know that I carry the Light of Christ into the world.
Be still and know that I carry the Light of Christ

God is Spirit, and those who worship must worship in spirit and
in truth. John 4:24

Psalm 141:1-3,8ab Domine, clamavi

O LORD, I call to you; come to me quickly; *
hear my voice when I cry to you.
Let my prayer be set forth in your sight as incense, *
the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.
Set a watch before my mouth, O LORD,
and guard the door of my lips; *
let not my heart incline to any evil thing.
My eyes are turned to you, Lord GOD; *
in you I take refuge.

90 Domine, refugium

1 Lord, you have been our refuge *
from one generation to another.

2 Before the mountains were brought forth,
or the land and the earth were born, *
from age to age you are God.

3 You turn us back to the dust and say, *
"Go back, O child of earth."

4 For a thousand years in your sight are like yesterday when it is past *
and like a watch in the night.

5 You sweep us away like a dream; *
we fade away suddenly like the grass.

6 In the morning it is green and flourishes; *
in the evening it is dried up and withered.

7 For we consume away in your displeasure; *
we are afraid because of your wrathful indignation.

8 Our iniquities you have set before you, *
and our secret sins in the light of your countenance.

9 When you are angry, all our days are gone; *
we bring our years to an end like a sigh.

10 The span of our life is seventy years,
perhaps in strength even eighty; *
yet the sum of them is but labor and sorrow,
for they pass away quickly and we are gone.

11 Who regards the power of your wrath? *
who rightly fears your indignation?

12 So teach us to number our days *
that we may apply our hearts to wisdom.

13 Return, O Lord; how long will you tarry? *
be gracious to your servants.

14 Satisfy us by your loving-kindness in the morning; *
so shall we rejoice and be glad all the days of our life.

15 Make us glad by the measure of the days that you afflicted us *
and the years in which we suffered adversity.

16 Show your servants your works *
and your splendor to their children.

17 May the graciousness of the Lord our God be upon us; *
prosper the work of our hands;
prosper our handiwork.

Amos 5:14-15

14 Seek good and not evil,
   that you may live;
and so the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you,
   just as you have said.
15 Hate evil and love good,
   and establish justice in the gate;
it may be that the Lord, the God of hosts,
will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.

A Song of the Wilderness
Isaiah 35:1-7,10
The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad, *
the desert shall rejoice and blossom;
It shall blossom abundantly, *
and rejoice with joy and singing.
They shall see the glory of the Lord, *
the majesty of our God.
Strengthen the weary hands, *
and make firm the feeble knees.
Say to the anxious, “Be strong, do not fear! *
Here is your God, coming with judgment to save you.”
Then shall the eyes of the blind be opened, *
and the ears of the deaf be unstopped.
Then shall the lame leap like a deer, *
and the tongue of the speechless sing for joy.
For waters shall break forth in the wilderness *
and streams in the desert;
The burning sand shall become a pool *
and the thirsty ground, springs of water.
The ransomed of God shall return with singing, *
with everlasting joy upon their heads.
Joy and gladness shall be theirs, *
and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Romans 14:12-19

12 So then, each of us will be accountable to God.*
13 Let us therefore no longer pass judgement on one another, but resolve instead never to put a stumbling-block or hindrance in the way of another.* 14 I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself; but it is unclean for anyone who thinks it unclean. 15 If your brother or sister* is being injured by what you eat, you are no longer walking in love. Do not let what you eat cause the ruin of one for whom Christ died. 16 So do not let your good be spoken of as evil. 17 For the kingdom of God is not food and drink but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. 18 The one who thus serves Christ is acceptable to God and has human approval. 19 Let us then pursue what makes for peace and for mutual edification.

A Song of Christ’s Humility
Philippians 2:6-11
Though in the form of God, *
Christ Jesus did not cling to equality with God,
But emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, *
and was born in human likeness.
Being found in human form, he humbled himself *
and became obedient to death, even death on a cross.
Therefore, God has highly exalted him *
and given him the name above every name,
That at the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow, *
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
And every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, *
to the glory of God the Father

John 10:7-18

7 So again Jesus said to them, ‘Very truly, I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who came before me are thieves and bandits; but the sheep did not listen to them. 9 I am the gate. Whoever enters by me will be saved, and will come in and go out and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

11 ‘I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 12 The hired hand, who is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and runs away—and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. 13 The hired hand runs away because a hired hand does not care for the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, 15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father. And I lay down my life for the sheep. 16I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd. 17 For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life in order to take it up again. 18 No one takes* it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it up again. I have received this command from my Father.’

A Song to the Lamb Dignus es

Revelation 4:11;5:9-10,13

Splendor and honor and royal power *
are yours by right, O God Most High,
For you created everything that is, *
and by your will they were created and have their being;
And yours by right, O Lamb that was slain, *
for with your blood you have redeemed for God,
From every family, language, people, and nation, *
a royal priesthood to serve our God.
And so, to the One who sits upon the throne, *
and to Christ the Lamb,
Be worship and praise, dominion and splendor, *
for ever and for evermore.

A Song of Faith
1 Peter 1:3-4,18-21

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, *
by divine mercy we have a new birth into a living hope;
Through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, *
we have an inheritance that is imperishable in heaven.
The ransom that was paid to free us *
was not paid in silver or gold,
But in the precious blood of Christ, *
the Lamb without spot or stain.
God raised Jesus from the dead and gave him glory *
so that we might have faith and hope in God.

Everliving Lord of the universe, our loving God, you raised up your priest Cornelius Hill, last hereditary chief of the Oneida nation, to shepherd and defend his people against attempts to scatter them in the wilderness: Help us, like him, to be dedicated to truth and honor, that we may come to that blessed state you have prepared for us; through Jesus Christ, who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.

The Song of Mary Magnificat

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in you, O God my Savior, *
for you have looked with favor on your lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed: *
you, the Almighty, have done great things for me,
and holy is your name.
You have mercy on those who fear you *
from generation to generation.
You have shown strength with your arm *
and scattered the proud in their conceit,
Casting down the mighty from their thrones *
and lifting up the lowly.
You have filled the hungry with good things *
and sent the rich away empty.
You have come to the help of your servant Israel, *
for you have remembered your promise of mercy,
The promise made to our forebears, *

to Abraham and his children for ever.

Light of the World Phos hilaron

Light of the world, in grace and beauty,
Mirror of God’s eternal face,
Transparent flame of love’s free duty,
You bring salvation to our race.
Now, as we see the lights of evening,
We raise our voice in hymns of praise;
Worthy are you of endless blessing,

Sun of our night, lamp of our days.

Tonight we light our candles and pray for an end to hatred an fear that keep us from being reconciled to each other and ourselves.  We light these candles for all of our family members who live in fear because they are afraid to be who they are. We pray and light candles for reconciliation between all family members who have sought to be divided and not united. We pray and light our candles in memory of all indigenous peoples of the world and that we may respect their history, their persons, and their gifts to the world. We pray and light our candles this night so that we may light up the world with God's light as a message of Love, Peace, Hope, and Joy to all who have been affected by hatred, bigotry, racism, phobias, discrimination, violence, abuse, and terror. We pray that we may shine the light of God by authentically showing to others our true selves that God has made in God's image and likeness. We light our candles and celebrate each other's diversity and the gifts we bring to this beautiful world that God created. We lift up our prayers each day for the Orlando 49 and all who have been victimized by terror. We pray for_____________________. The Light of Christ in Me, Recognizes the light of Christ in you!

 And finally we close with:

A Prayer attributed to St. Francis

Lord, make us instruments of your peace. Where there is
hatred, let us sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where
there is discord, union; where there is doubt, faith; where
there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where
there is sadness, joy. Grant that we may not so much seek to
be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is
in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we
are born to eternal life. Amen.

Here we pray for God, ourselves, our community with hearts that are open to all with love and mercy.

We pray this night to end the need to hide our true selves from the world.

We pray this night for all of our family members who are struggling to come to terms who they are.

We pray for loving and supportive families who won't be judgmental and who will offer a soft place in which to fall.

We pray this night for the heartbroken and those who are in need of loving care.

We pray this night for all caregivers who are being drained and need respite.

We pray this night for all who are longing for love and companionship.

We pray this night for all the least of these that we may be able to help them in anyway we can.

We pray for all of our faith communities that we may learn from them with hearts and minds open to seek common ground.

We pray this night for all who have died that they may rest in peace and rise in glory.

We pray this night especially for______________________________

We pray that we may practice good conservation in the preservation of God's Cathedral of life.

We pray that we all may find soft places to fall and that they may be places of human and physical sanctuary.

We pray, We pray, We pray and we pray some more for any tender concern that is on our hearts this night ________________

We pray these our prayers this night for all refugees, migrants, victims of human trafficking and any and all forms of violence.

We offer these our prayers in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Glory to God whose power, working in us, can do infinitely more
than we can ask or imagine: Glory to God from generation to
generation in the Church, and in Christ Jesus for ever and ever.

Amen. Ephesians 3:20,21

May the blessing of the God of Abraham and Sarah, and of Jesus Christ born of our sister Mary, and of the Holy Spirit, who broods over the world as a mother over her children, be upon you and remain with you always. Amen.

No automatic alt text available.

Yes dear ones we have reached 290,000 pageviews all time history and Walk With Me On Our Journey isn't even in its 4th year yet. I love you and give thanks to God for you and for the opportunity to come to you and pray and minister to you. We may begin to see prayer walking again soon. My PT is hopeful I won't have to have supervision anymore. So we will see. In the mean time may we all rest gentle in God's arms tonight.

De-Cluttering suggestion 2
It's time to clean out those kitchen pantry cupboards and check the used by dates and conditions of the food and cans. You won't believe what you'll find.

Lots of love from me to you! God is Good! All the time! All the time! God is Good!
