Tonight we will have a brief time together. Today, I donated plasma and attended the Democratic Club meeting and walked close to 5 miles. God is Good! I hope everyone had a good day and know that you are loved and matter. Keep that in your heart as we join together in prayer and meditation.

Jesus Speaks about His Death

May they remind me that my own wounds are not roadblocks on the way to the Father, but are there to show me my own unique way to follow You, the suffering Christ. Assure me that my wounds, too, will be glorified in my own resurrected life. Amen.

God we pray that in this time of division we may be brought low to be able to become peacemakers and your Children.
God we pray that in this time where we find ourselves haughty and overfull of one up man ship. we may be brought low to be given a holy reality check.
God we pray that in this time of stress and anxiety for all caregivers we may be brought low to be given the necessary tools to extend our hands, feet, and arms to give respite to those suffering caregiver fatigue.
God we pray that in this time we may be brought low so that you might lift us up and give us courage to be the Family of Love you are calling us to be.

Thursday – The Ebba Compline
Ebba was the sister of Oswald and Oswy, who were both kings of Northumbria. She was consecrated a nun by Aidan and founded the ‘double’ (i.e. there were both men and women there) monastery at Coldingham, situated on St Abbs’s Head (which was subsequently named after her). Ebba died in the year 683. Bede described her as a ‘pious woman and a handmaid of Christ.’

The Long Green Season just turned a little bit lighter green and is changing toward the warm Fall colored season leading towards the end of the year. Yes folks, in 3 months and 11 days, 2018 will close out the year. Seasons change but do we?
