Prayer that's what's on today's menu!

Good Evening Dearly Loved Ones!

Happy Self-Care and Sabbath Rest Saturday! Today went fairly quickly! I hope everyone is giving themselves over to a sacred period of rest and giving yourselves permission to do so. It's not always easy but we must put our bodies, minds, and spirits first and when we do this everything does start to level out. Tonight we get to stop the glorification of busy and have a brief time of prayer so that we may ready ourselves for worship tomorrow and if you don't have a place to worship take  time for your personal and spiritual spa day.

Tonight we will begin with the prayers from two blogs that were written today on the same day.

Tonight let us do our mindfulness meditation with our timers, music,  or  singing bowl app at a pace that you so choose !  But first let us do our breathing exercises!

God as we enter this time of thoughtful silence help us lay down our burdens and anxieties. Let us clear our minds so they may be fixed on you O God.

God we pray that we may have a wonderful conversation and time with you  and that we may listen with holy ears.

Let us begin and find peace at the center.

If you need help to quiet your mind please use this phrase.

Be still and know that I am God
Be still and know.
Be still.
Be.

God we thank you for this time of quietness we are spending with and  before you.

God we give thanks for our many blessings this day remembering especially____________

God we pray for our family members nearby and far away.

God we  pray for our family members who are the least of these that they may find safe shelter, nourishing food, and protective clothing this night.

God we remember and pray for peace in the world and in our hearts.

God we remember and pray for all children and elderly that they may be protected from harm and abuse.

God we remember and pray for all of our family members who are refugees, captives, victims of human trafficking, and acts of violence.

God we remember and pray for all who are in grief and that we may be loving and compassionate towards them.

God we remember and pray that we may be good stewards of  your creation and Cathedral of Life.

God we pray for sound governance and peace in the world and that justice, equality, and  universal human rights may be afforded to all.

God we pray for all of our family members who are struggling to live authentically without feeling invisible and not included.  May we always remember that You O God love all of us and not some. We pray that everyone may know and remember that you made each of us in your image and likeness and love us equally.

God we add our prayers and those prayers that have been requested by our  family members especially____________

God we lift up these our prayers in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Or these That were written two years ago!

We give thanks to you for all the wonder and wonderful abundance that you show and shower upon us each day.

We pray for new and exciting adventures in our lives that will bring us closer to you and to our family members.

Tonight for our prayer vigil we are going to do a virtual candlelight vigil and prayer walk at home. Let us light our candles and pray on the way.

Dear Family on Our Journey,

I have been giving it much thought and prayer about those of you who cannot walk and pray. I'm laying out a prayer walk frame work for those who can't get out. Here it is!

Before you begin close your eyes and begin to imagine where you want to walk. Picture yourself getting ready. Select music that you want to listen to when you are at home. Have and iPod or mp3 player? Use it  and listen while you pray.

Dedicate your virtual prayer walk to God.

Take a few deep breaths and breathe in God's spirit.

If you haven't made a prayer list do so.

Begin with the people and pets within your household and family.

Take time to remember all your neighbors (Remember they are family members as we all are)

Take time to pray for those who are caregivers, home health aides, anyone who helps out in the homes of those who need help. Pray for those who are in hospice ministry and palliative care work.

Pray for your church or religious community.

Pray for those in education.

Take time to pray for those who have chronic or autoimmune diseases of any kind and  for those who are  in research for better care strategies and cures.

Pray for better pharmaceutical research.

Pray for your local businesses.
Pray for those who are first responders.

Pray for those in government.

Pray and Give thanks!
