Two weeks later and we need to remember before us again the names of the Orlando 49: We must always remember and never forget!

Dear Family of God,

I hope everyone enjoyed your day of Sabbath Rest. It has been 2 weeks since the terrorist act at Pulse and the senseless deaths of 49 beloved children of God and those who are struggling to survive the traumatic after effects of the shooting. Tonight we are going to pray the names solely and then pray for peace. We will also add the 5 or 6 persons who were stabbed in Sacramento today.

Let us make ready for silent contemplation and  prayer.

Peace be still.

Breathe in, breathe out , pause.

Peace be.

Breathe in, breathe out, pause.

Be,

Breathe in, breathe out, pause.

Our special prayer vigil in loving memory of the Orlando 49

God of  compassion, acceptance love, and mercy  (CALM) we pray this night for the souls of the Orlando 49 and light our candles in their memory. We light our candles to shine a light on gun violence, hate crimes, terrorism, and any form of abuse and hatred. This night we also pray for those who are continuing to struggle with the after affects of the shooting at Pulse and all families, friends, and the Orlando Community. We pray for Safety of all LGTBTQIA family members who seek to lead and live normal lives without fear. In this spirit we name and pray before  you these precious souls who lost their lives:

God we come to you this night still with heavy hearts and we pray as we have been doing for the past week remembering our brothers and sisters who perished at Pulse in Orlando. We pray and remember  them each by name and this night and respond with "Let light perpetual shine upon them"

God we lift up these precious ones to you as a reminder that life is precious and that we know that you know us all by name and love us. We pray that we may come together in memory and in honor of all your children to affect positive change in this fragile and broken world that you have made. Amen.

Let us continue to be at prayer.

Kyrie for the Magdalene

God help us to be calm and instill our hearts and heart homes with compassion, acceptance, love and mercy and may we have the necessary Love Energy to accomplish the many things you are calling us to do.

God help us to calm down and be more mindful as we go through all the hustle and bustle of  this season and beyond.

God help us to be more reverent in our devotion and worship to you at church, home, out and about and in your Cathedral of Life.

God help us to take time to care for ourselves and others, being mindful of our needs and our family members.

God help us to be attentive to all of our family members who are ill. Help us to be co-healers with you and that they may know that they are loved and cared for. May we be mindful of all of their struggles in body, mind, and spirit.

God give us courage to examine all the facts in the daily news cycle and speak truth to power.

God give us the mind of your Son Jesus Christ that we may  model our lives after Him.

God give us the courage to lovingly respond and care for your children who are the least of these.

God make us to be the peacemakers that you need us to be to help love, heal, and care for your world and may we lovingly respond to the needs of all  of our family members who are victims of war, violence, terror, and human trafficking.

God give us an awareness of those things that cause us  to be a divided  world and may we learn what it means to be truly your family and love one another.

God we pray for all faith leaders who need the courage to learn how to be united in love, peace, and harmony and accept belief systems that may differ from their own.

God we pray for all who are seeking employment and discerning new life paths.

God we offer our prayers and thanksgivings to you for ourselves and on behalf of those who have asked us to pray and those who haven't the courage to ask for prayers.

God we lift up these our prayers, thanksgivings, celebrations, and remembrances in the Name of your Son Jesus our redeemer, healer, reconciler, brother and friend. Amen.

With Compassion, Acceptance, Love, and Mercy,

Sara
