Tonight's amazing and grace-filled moments; #WeAreOrlando

Good Evening Dear Family of Love!

I love you and hope that you have told your loved ones this throughout the day. Tonight I attended the vigil and rally for the victims of the Orlando massacre. Tonight's theme was all about love and the need to take action. This was a time when about 100 plus people felt safe enough to hold a rally downtown in what is normally a redneck community. This was a time when I stepped up an volunteered to carry at first a sign that was in Spanish and then I had the honor and privilege to carry the Gay Pride Rainbow Flag for almost a 5 block march without my arms going into spasm. What I felt tonight was an outpouring of love and support for all God's children. The speeches from our young people want to feel safe, want to be loved, and want to live authentically who they were born to be. This is a time where we must come together and support each other by loving one another. We also must come together to stem the tide of all forms of violence, abuse, hatred, injustice, and division. We must lay down the weaponry that kills, maims, instills fear and is used in acts of hate. The time is now. We must take these grace-filled moments as a time to garner our strength to go out and stand together in love and support and raise our voices that there will be no more gun violence, hate speak, and the need to isolate any group because of who they are and who they love.
The time is now! Don't wait we have much work to do and we will do it with God's help and each other's as well.

Tonight we light our candles and pray for strength and courage to love one another and fight injustice.

God you have commanded us to love one another and be your children, tonight as we light our candles and pray at whatever time this is read  let us be one. We pray that we may use our prayer muscles  to serve the least of these who haven't any voice. We pray that we may have the courage to love one another and fight the injustices that divide us and put us in harms way. We pray that we may have courage to act and say #NotOneMore, #NoMoreOrlandos , #EndGunViolenceNow. Give us we pray the courage to stand together with our brothers and sisters of the LGBTQIA, Islamic, and Latino communities and seek to learn from each other. We pray that we may rise together and stand against all forms of oppression, discrimination, and isolationism. We pray that we may seek to stand in support for mental health services and that we may be able to get help for those who need it earlier rather than later. We pray this day for each other. Help us to build each other up and not tear each other down. We pray that we may build bridges of love, peace, and understanding and that we may carry your light, your love, and your peace into this world. We pray this in the name of God who sustains,Jesus who heals, and the Holy Spirit who empowers us. Amen.

Let us pray!

Dear God we sometimes cannot explain the unexplainable but that is when we must and need to have faith in you.  As we continue to walk with you on our journey may we have faith to put our feet on your holy ground and walk with love and purpose and  be your hands, feet, love, voice, arms and bodies in your world. Amen.

In Perfect Harmony a Prayer in the Key of Jesus

Help us to walk, pray, think and love in the key of Jesus.

Help us to bring hope, make peace, give joy, and show love in the key of Jesus.

Lord help us to shine the light of Christ's love to the world in the key of Jesus.

Help us to be your grace and spirit filled  ministers and  tender and loving caregivers in the key of Jesus.

Help us to do justice, love mercy and walk humbly with you and in the key Jesus.

Help us to have compassion, be a comfort to those who are lonely, ill, hungry, and homeless in the key of Jesus.

Thank you Lord for your Son Jesus and your Cathedral of Life in which we live. Amen!

Or this meditation!

We must not forget that we are God's Children and servants and carry the light to this fragile and broken world. How do we do this?

We light and carry God's light into the world with:
Our love
Our Hands, feet, arms,
Being a soft place in which to fall
Our willingness to learn about other people's point of view.
Open hearts.
Laughter
Joy
Acceptance
Compassion
Mercy
With our willingness to listen.
With out judging.
Hearts afire with love for God.
Share what you have.
Smile
See everyone as a family member when we look into their eyes.
Be open!
Be kind!
Be just!
Be the person that Jesus and God want you to be!
Speak kindly with loving and gentle words
Think before you speak.
Use your sense of humor wisely some of our family members  may not know when you are teasing!

Let us think up more ways as we meditate on what it meas to shine God's light in the dark places!

First say this The Light of Christ (God) in me  Reflects the Light of Christ (God)  in You!
Second say this The Love that God Gave Me I give to You. Give that Love to others!

We Are Marching in the Light of God

Dear God in the silence and your light we hear your voice calling us to love, serve, and give thanks.

In the silence and your light  O God,we pray that peace will prevail upon this your fragile and broken world.

In the silence O God, help us to realize that wherever we plant our feet, take a breath, and live that is holy ground for a holy people.

In the silence and your light O God,  we pray for all of our family members who are in need of healing of body, mind, and spirits.

In the silence and your light O God, , help us to be still and know that You are God.

In the silence and your light O God, , we pray for the needs of the least of these that we may come into their lives without fear but quietly, gently, and with compassion.

In the silence and your light  O God, listen for you walking in your Cathedral of Life at the time of the evening breeze.

In the silence and your light  O God, give us loving and joyful hearts that are enlivened and on fire  for you!

n the silence and your light   O God, we give thanks for all of your goodness and mercy and offer our thanks______

In the silence and your light  O God we pray for the troubled areas of the world  and for all refugees, captives, political prisoners, victims of human trafficking, and violence in its many forms.

In the silence and your light  O God, we pray for all who are mourning the losses of loved ones or any kind of loss. We pray that they may gradually accept silence as cleansing and healing and not something to run away from.

In the silence and your light  O God, help us to rely and put our trust in your love, grace, mercy, and inclusion.

In the silence and your light  O God, we add our additional prayers for ourselves and on behalf of others especially____________

In the silence and your light  O God, we lift up these our prayers to your Only Son Jesus the Christ our redeemer, healer, reconciler, brother, master, and friend, Amen.
