We don't get to pick and choose what God is Commanding us to do!

Good Evening Dear Ones!

Hello Family! Happy Wonderful and Wonder-filled Wednesday! I don't know about you but I have been thinking a lot about picking and choosing. Some things God allows us to pick and choose other things God doesn't. As I was going through the decision when to come out it wasn't on a whim but prayerfully and when God needed me to. Yes God led me to choose this time not just because it's Pride Month but because God wants me to stand up, speak up, and join up in the fight for the things we talk about daily in this blog and other places. Could I do this as a straight person ? Yes but when you realize when your brothers and sisters in the LGBTQQIA family are hurting and you yourself is hurting too it's time to choose not to hide out and be silent. God calls us each day to Love, serve, give hope, shine a light, help people out of the dark places, support, love, care for the least of these, include not exclude, love, make peace, strive for justice, respect the dignity of all people, pray, love, build bridges, tear down walls, speak truth to power, stop hate, love, love our enemies, do good to those who hate us, love, be a peacemaker and become a child of God, love, etc. We are not let off the hook for any reason. That is why we pray equally for all people of faith, all of our family members, and all living and breathing beings. That is why we love equally. We care equally! We should practice the CALM principle equally. The CALM Principle is this we must be (Compassionate, accepting, loving, and merciful). So dear ones let us all come together and pray.

God of all love we come together tonight to accept your call to light our candles and pray. We pray this night to be loving towards one another. We pray this night for guidance in how we can best serve you in the world. We pray that we may be more giving of ourselves to others. We pray that we may be able to be hopeful and hope-filled to this fragile and broken world. We pray that we may shine your light and help people out of the dark places they find themselves in. We pray that we may be supportive in what ever decisions people make,  We pray for the least of these who struggle with the day to day issues of living. We pray that everyone will be lovingly included and not excluded and invisible. We pray that we may be peacemakers and children of God. We pray that we may "Strive for justice, and respect the dignity of every human being"* We pray that we may build bridges and tear down walls. We pray for the courage to speak truth to power. We pray for an end to hatred, violence and terror. We pray that we may use our voices not to hurt but to heal. We pray this night that we all may be one and that we may continue to pray for Istanbul, Orlando, Nigeria, Mexico, and all places where terror and violence have occurred even when the media fails to report it. May we all be one with those who mourn and stand vigil for the peace of the world and in the places where there is danger. God we lift up these prayers to you with hurting hearts, open hands up lifted, with loving care and voices. Amen.

Tonight let us pray for the least of these and our family members who are feeling lost and alone.

Jesus, we come to you this night asking you to lift up the lonely, lost, and those who feel unloved and outcast. Help us to draw them into  your circle of love and fellowship where they will find peace and a loving family waiting for them.

Jesus, we pray for peace in the holy places where you walked, preached, healed, were there for those who  were outcast, blind, and not welcome in any town. We pray for peace in all of the Holy Land  and a return to holiness and we pray for the leaders of  Israel, Palestine, Syria,  Turkey, and Iraq that they may remember that they are all family members under Abraham and the awesome responsibility that comes with that.

Jesus, help us to be there for our family members even when it seems difficult to do so.

Jesus, heal all  of our family members who are ill and we name them now before you with love________________

Jesus, help us to grow in the Fruits of the Spirit and reap abundantly the harvest that you have planted.

Jesus, help us to sew seeds of faith, hope, and love and that we may may show these throughout our lives and  in our daily living.

Jesus, help us to be good stewards of God's Cathedral of Life.

Jesus, we pray for all refugees, strangers, immigrants of any kind and especially the unaccompanied children who have been set on a dangerous road to freedom.

Jesus, help us to be lights to this broken world and to each other.

Jesus, be with those who mourn  and we pray that we may follow your example of compassion, love, and yes even weep as you wept at the tomb of Lazarus.

Jesus, may we rest gentle in your arms this night and always .

We lift up these our prayers to in Jesus' Name . Amen.

Jesus we remember this day Thomas A'Kempis:
Holy Father, you have nourished and strengthened your Church by the inspired writings of your servant Thomas a Kempis: Grant that we may learn from him to know what is necessary to be known, to love what is to be loved, to praise what highly pleases you, and always to seek to know and follow your will; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

From HOLY WOMEN, HOLY MEN

Or these as we approach Independence Day!

Let us pray and take time to reflect upon the day that is to come and remember all of our forefathers and foremothers who made our country what it is today.

Dear God you created this world so that we might be interdependent upon and with each other, help us to remember that we are called to be family members and we aren't let off the hook by deciding who gets in or who is left out. God you tell us that we must remember the least of these. Help us to do just that in our every day living.

God we pray for peace, justice, and human rights throughout the world that you have made and that all of our family members may live where there is no war, abuse, persecution of any kind, injustice, and inequality.

We pray this day for all who are ill and awaiting news of diagnosis. We remember especially those who are hospitalized and in long term care facilities  during holiday weekends.

We pray for all pets who are ill and pet owners who are caring for their animal family members.

We pray for all those who are lonely during holiday time that they may find comfort and that we may reach out our arms of love and compassion to them. We remember especially the homeless, the hungry, the unemployed, and all those suffering from mental illness of any kind.

We pray this night for all who are out and about and for their safety and alertness as they drive. We pray also that their vehicles may be free of things that distract then,

We give thanks to you O God for this our country and for the liberties that we enjoy. Help us never to take the gifts of liberty, justice, human and civil rights for granted and that we may continually reminded of these necessary things that make us free. Help us also to fight for the rights of those who have none and be willing to speak truth to power. May we continue to do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with you O, God.

We pray especially for this day remembering all who have asked us to pray for them. We now name these our family members before you_________________. We pray for the healing of body, mind, and spirit and what ever else may be happening with them.

Gracious God we thank you for our many blessings remembering especially___________________

We continue to pray for those who have lost their lives in acts of terror remembering today in Istanbul Turkey and the Orlando 49 whom we name before you now:

God we come to you this night still with heavy hearts and we pray as we have been doing for the past week remembering our brothers and sisters who perished at Pulse in Orlando. We pray and remember  them each by name and this night and respond with "Let light perpetual shine upon them"

We pray that we may come together in memory and in honor of all your children to affect positive change in this fragile and broken world that you have made. Amen.

A Prayer attributed to St. Francis

Lord, make us instruments of your peace. Where there is
hatred, let us sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where
there is discord, union; where there is doubt, faith; where
there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where
there is sadness, joy. Grant that we may not so much seek to
be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is
in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we
are born to eternal life. Amen.

We lift up these our prayers in the name of the Great Physician and Healer of us all Jesus. Amen.

Good Night Dear Ones, I hope I haven't been hard on you but as God's Children we are called and commanded to love God, Family members, ourselves! Let us love our enemies and do good to those who hates us when we do this we are walking the walk and talking the talk in the Key of Jesus. I love you and give thanks to God for you this day and always.

Sara
