The Universal Declaration of Human Rights
Today we are going to take a diversion away from the Good Book Club Readings and commemorate the 50th year since The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther Kind Jr. was assasinated. We must remember all the dreamers and activists who walked the walk and talked the talk. Jesus was a role model for Martin Luther King Jr., Dolores Huerta, Winnie Mandela, Cesar Çhavez, just to name a few. We must model ourselves after Jesus and become a member of the Jesus Movement/ Beloved Community and be the change our nation and world most desperately need. Tonight we remember in order to recommit ourselves to be the change. Tonight we lay down our fears and take up our crosses and place our pilgrim feet upon holy ground. Tonight we seek to come to know Jesus in the faces of others and especially those who are the invisible ones.Tonight we become lovers of all living things and good stewards of all and not hoarders of the Earth's riches. Tonight we pray. Tonight we act. Tonight we practice radical hospitality and loving kindness! My brothers and sisters now is the time , now is the place we act and move forward without fear but with courageous action empowered by God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit. We are the Beloved Community and members of the Jesus Movement on the move with Compassion, Acceptance, Love, Mercy, and seeking Justice and equality for all God's Children. BTW that is who we are and whose we are.

Great God, who has told us
"Vengeance is mine,"
save us from ourselves,
save us from the vengeance in our hearts
and the acid in our souls.
Save us from our desire to hurt as we have been hurt,

to terrorize as we have been terrorized.
Give us the strength it takes
to listen rather than to judge,
to trust rather than to fear,
to try again and again
to make peace even when peace eludes us.
