Beginning to look towards our first online weekend retreat! Lesson 1 Preparing to be silent ! With a virtual labyrinth walk

Good Evening Dear Family!

We are going to begin to slowly get ready for our weekend online retreat. This will be the first online retreat we have ever done here at Walk With Me On Our Journey. Tonight we are going to spend time in holy silence and be still. That means whenever you are reading this we try to set our DVRs and turn off the TV and go off the grid. Not an easy task with the Olympics being on.

Remember when we used to set our timers, mindfulness apps, and selected music for 10 minutes?
That is what I would like us to do this evening!

10 Min.Meditation Music for Positive Energy - GUARANTEED Find Inner Peace within 10 Min.

Now let us take time and breathe and "Be Still"!

Be still and know that I am God.
Be still and know.
Be still.
Be.

Breathe in slowly
Hold
Breathe out slowly
Pause
Relax and close your eyes.

Repeat as long as you need to.

Begin tensing and relaxing each muscle group beginning with your feet on up towards your scalp.

 Please repeat the "Be Stills"

Now begin to go deeper into your heart home and invite God there if God isn't there already. Spend time in God's holy presence and listen to what God is saying to your.

After awhile let us begin a virtual labyrinth walk using our computer mice as our feet.

A virtual labyrinth walk with questions.

These prayers are as if God is asking you the questions. Respond any way that you wish as long as they come from your hearts, heart homes, with Love Energy.

Child of God will you take my hand and Walk With Me On Our Journey.?

If you want to do a virtual labyrinth walk with pictures!

A blog labyrinth walk with pictures The crickets sang their night chant to welcome us to walk the labyrinth

Let us light our candles and be at prayer and make vigil and take a virtual labyrinth walk.

Tonight let us be at prayer for a time. But first let is take time for a space in quietness and contemplation. Do our breathing exercises first Inhale the Holy Spirit and Exhale Love.Do this slowly and you may close your eyes too. Gently go deeper into the center and listen for God's still small voice and feel God's everlasting and enduring love. Tonight we will not use music but the beat our hearts and breathing.

God we thank you for times of quiet and contemplation.  Help us to empty our minds and selves so that we may be filled with you, your love, your mercy, and your grace.

God we pray that as we are in quiet that all our baggage of today may be put away so that we may be focused ever deeply on you O God.

God we pray that as we are in quiet that you will heal all those who are ill and in pain. We leave them into your hands O God.

God we pray that as we are in quiet that  you will watch over the least of these and those who are homeless, hungry, and ill-clad.

God we pray that as we are in quiet that peace may prevail on Earth and that we may be the peacemakers  and children of God you have called us to be.

God we pray that as we are in quiet for those who mourn and are grieving any loss. We remember this night especially those who have lost employment.

God we pray that as we are in quiet for those who are dying and have died.

God we pray that as we are in quiet for__________________________

God we pray that as we are in quiet for our many thanksgivings especially_________________
